Check Anison Fitness Video with "Neon Genesis Evangelion" OP Song

First season will premiere in Japan on January 11

As reported, Japanese record company King Records and Kanagawa-based entertainment company Kayac have launched a new joint project "Anison Fitness" that offers various workout programs using popular anime songs. Its official YouTube channel has posted a 150-second first demonstration video featuring "Zankoku na Tenshi no Thesis/A Cruel Angel's Thesis" (Neon Genesis Evangelion OP).


The song will be used in the first season of the TV program titled "Anison Fitness A-fit" that will premiere on Tokyo MX and Sun TV on January 11. The five-minute series will complete the full session with the song in 12 episodes.

The program is supervised by Nobuhiko Eda, an assistant professor at Faculty of Sport Sciences, Waseda

University, and 46-year-old musician/instructor Gou Takahashi joins as the choreographer. He is a younger

brother of Yoko Takahashi, the original singer of "A Cruel Angel's Thesis." In addition, 23-year-old anime

voice actress Yuuki Takada (Rin Kurosawa in Aikatsu!, Aoba Suzukaze in NEW GAME!), Yakko (girl dance

unit Q'ulle membr), and 17-year-old CG character Sakura Asahina (voiced by Takada) will join the workout
