"Tokyo Ghoul" Live-Action Film Reveals First Visual of Heroine Touka

Masataka Kubota (Death Note TV drama)-starring film hits theaters summer 2017

Following 28-year-old Masataka Kubota as the protagonist Ken Kaneki, the official website for the upcoming live-action film adaptation of Sui Ishida's dark fantasy manga series Tokyo Ghoul today posted a first image visual of the main heroine Touka Kirishima played by 22-year-old actress Fumika Shimizu (Yuki Jojima in Kamen Rider Fourze).

She was known for her long hair, but didn't hesitate to cut it 30 cm short to play the character for the first time in 12 years since she was a fourth grade elementary student. She now likes her new hair style very much because she can take a bath very quickly and also saying, "This is the best hair style for the practice of the action scenes for the film."

Shochiku will distribute the film in Japan in Summer of 2017.
