JAM Project members join as back chorus singers

After being formed as an indie group in 1985, two-member unit ALI PROJECT consisting of singer Arika Takarano (lyrics) and keyboardist Mikiya Katakura (music/arrangement) made their professional debut in 1992 from Toshiba EMI. Their current record company Lantis' official YouTube channel today released a four-minute music video for their 25th anniversary single "Himiko Gaiden" to be released on March 29. Himiko was a shaman queen of Yamataikoku in the ancient Japan in the 2nd-3rd century. With the request from Katakura, the members of anison super group JAM Project joined the recording of the song as back chorus singers.

ALI PROJECT is well known for their anime theme song works, such as for Noir, Rosen Maiden, Code Geass, Katanagatari, ANOTHER, and many others. Their most recent anime tie-up song was their 31st single song "Haramitsu Renge" released in October 2015, which was used as the ED theme song

for the TV anime adaptation of Riku Misora's action fantasy light novel series A Chivalry of a Failed Knight.
