Kirin Hyoketsu suffered a hard knock when their TRIGGER crossover campaign got pulled, but they've bounced back -- and their spokesman is a World Series champion.
Munenori Kawasaki is with the Cubs now, but he has a massive NPB and MLB history (including a run with the Toronto Blue Jays). And now that his team has won the Series for the first time in 108 years, he's naturally feeling pretty happy.
The new ad shows Kawasaki dancing, showing off his sword skills... and learning those sword skills. Attached to the ad is a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the commercial, with outtakes and alternate takes.
Kawasaki is no stranger to commercials. Last year, he helped the Cubs' Iowa affiliate (for which he is a regular player) advertise a giveaway for "beard beanies" modeled after Chicago Cubs pitcher Jake Arrieta.
