TV Anime Adaptation of Feudal Romance Otome Game "Ikemen Sengoku" Set for July 12

In addition to the 11 generals in the game, Motonari Mouri is newly added

Tokyo-based smartphone game company CYBIRD today opened a teaser site for the upcoming TV anime adaptation of Ikemen Sengoku: Toki wo Kakeru Koi (Love That Leapt Through Time), one of its popular "Ikemen" (Handsome Men) otome game series for iOS and Android, for a July 12 premiere on Tokyo MX.

 

The TV anime is titled Ikemen Sengoku: Toki wo Kakeru ga Koi wa Hajimaranai (We Leapt Through Time, but Love dose not Begin), and tells the 3D model deformed characters' comedic everyday life. In addition to the 11 busho/generals who appeared in the original game, Motonari Mouri (1497-1571) is newly added to the anime story. More details including the voice cast will be revealed soon on the site.

The Ikemen series has eight titles so far and has attracted 15 million registered useres in Japan. 

 

Ikemen Sengoku was launched in June 2015. The story centers on a female protagonist who accidentally

time travels back to the sengoku period of Japan in the end of the 16th century during her trip in Kyoto.

She encounters Nobunaga Oda (CV: Tomokazu Sugita), one of the most powerful busho/warlords, at the

Honno-ji incident on 1582. Nabunaga likes her on sight, and other 10 famous busho who appear in front

of her, including Hideyoshi Toyotomi (Kousuke Toriumi), Yukimura Sanada (Yoshimasa Hosoya), Masamune

Date (Kazuki Kato), and Ieyasu Tokugawa (Toshiki Masuda), are all ikemen/handsome guys. With whom

will she fall in love?
