"Gosick" Star Revives Popular Travel Series This October

Takuya Eguchi's "Oretachi Datte Iyasaretai!" explores happiness and healing around Japan.

This fall, Takuya Eguchi (Gosick, Girlish Number, KonoSuba) is back on the road for a new season of his travel series Oretachi Datte Iyasaretai!, or OreIya for short. In the series, Eguchi is joined by friend and voice actor Kotaro Nishiyama (Sagrada Reset, Whistle! 2016 re-voice) and other guests as they explore Japan looking for happiness and healing.

This will mark the show's third season. The show has a strong fan base already, both for its looks into peaceful and fun spots around Japan and for the opportunity it gives anime fans to see their voice actors in everyday life.

At the same time, Soma Saito (Akashic Records of Bastard Magical Instructor, Touken Ranbu) will be launching a similar series of his own: Soma Saito's Aimi wo Kimi ni. Dubbed SomaKimi for short, it hopes to draw the same audience as OreIya, while offering a similar behind-the-scenes look at a popular voice actor.

To celebrate the return of OreIya and the beginning of SomaKimi, Animate will be offering limited-edition postcards featuring the three presenters. Customers who purchase target items valued at 3,000 yen or more will get one of the three postcards while supplies last.

OreIya season 3 and SomaKimi will alternate weeks starting October 4 on TOKYO MX.
