"Love Live!" Honoka VA Emi Nitta Cancels Her Appearance at CharaExpo2017 due to Herniated Disc

She is confirmed to move to her new agency Difference from September 1

The official website for 31-year-old anime voice actress/singer Emi Nitta announced on August 18 that she was forced to cancel her appearance at the upcoming CharaExpo2017 event to be held at Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre Hall in Singapore on September 9 and 10. She was scheduled to join on its second day.


According to the release posted on the event's official website, she "has been suffering from chronic backaches for a while now and her condition has worsened after her live performances lately. After consulting medical experts, it has been confirmed that she is suffering from herniated disc," and "The medical experts consulted recommend that she is to avoid long distance flights and after careful consideration, we have decided to cancel her appearance at CharaExpo 2017 on the 10th of September." 


The official Twitter for her fan club EmiRing◎ has also posted her words of apology:


"I would like to apologize for the inconvenience and worry caused by my cancellation of the event.

The situation is as explained in the release. We have decided to be on the safe side this time. For

the people who have been looking forward to seeing my show in Singapore, I am truly sorry. I will

concentrate on my treatment in order to be able to do my best performance. Emi Nitta."



As reported, Nitta, best known as Honoka Kosaka in the Love Live! franchise and as a member of its

VA unit μ's, is gointg to end her exclusive contract with Tokyo-based managing company S in the end

of this month. In the release for the cancellation, it is also confirmed that she will move to Difference

Inc. (the site is now under renewal) from September, 1, 2017.
