Fried Shrimp and Crepe Girl Join the Cast of "URAHARA"

OP / ED theme performers also announced for TV anime based on the "PARK Harajuku: Crisis Team!" web manga

Three more characters and the opening and ending theme performers have been announced for URAHARA, an upcoming TV anime based on the PARK Harajuku: Crisis Team! web manga about a trio of Harajuku shop girls saving human culture from alien invasion. The new cast members include:

Kokoa Amano as Misa Maruno, a mysterious girl who appears in Harajuku in a Scoopers escape pod. Misa has a sparkling, charming smile that reminds people of candy, and she loves the cute culture of Harajuku.

Yasunori Matsumoto as Ebifurya, a talking fried shrimp who is also Misa's pet.

And Riho Iida as Sayumin, a crepe shop owner who acts like an elder sister to the three main characters, Rito, Mari, and Kotoko. Sayumin likes to gently enfold all three of them in a crepe-like embrace.

The opening theme of URAHARA, entitled "Antithesis Escape", will be performed by Sumire Uesaka. The as-yet-untitled ending theme will be performed by Luna Haruna, who also provides the voice of Rito Sudo.

URAHARA is directed by Amica Kubo and Matatsuga Arakawa and features animation by EMT Squared and Shirogumi. The series will begin broadcasting in Japan in October, and it will also be available via streaming on Crunchyroll. The story of URAHARA follows Rito, Mari, and Kotoko - a trio of shop girls who band together to protect the fashion, culture, and cuteness of Harajuku from extraterrestrial invaders called "Scoopers".
