Following up on some earlier rumors, Nintendo was the first to reveal Dark Souls: Remastered this morning. That's right, you'll soon be able to run through Lordran on the go when the remastered version launches on May 25.
That's not all that's planned for the remaster, though. It's also coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, with the bonus of 4K support for those who play on PS4 Pro, Xbox One X, and (of course) PC. There will also be framerate and resolution improvements for the Switch version.
DARK SOULS™: REMASTERED: The first title in the genre-defining action role-playing franchise is coming to Nintendo Switch. DARK SOULS: REMASTERED includes the Artorias of the Abyss DLC, as well as improved framerate and resolution from the original DARK SOULS game for an exhilarating return to Lordran. This marks the franchise’s debut on a Nintendo platform, and now for the first time ever, this revered (and challenging) game can be played on the go. DARK SOULS: REMASTERED launches on May 25.
Here's the full Nintendo Direct Mini presentation, which also includes a look at Mario Tennis Aces, a Switch version of Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, Kirby Star Allies, The World Ends With You: Final Remix, Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition, SNK Heroines ~Tag Team Frenzy~, Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana, PAYDAY 2, Fe, and Celeste.
