Sagat Comes to Saga Prefecture for "Street Fighter" Collab

"Street Fighter" boss turns tourism ambassador

World warrior Sagat may seem like an unlikely choice for a tourism ambassador -- but when it's for Saga Prefecture, you can kind of see why. Governor Yoshinori Yamaguchi appears on a new website created to bring attention to Sagat Prefecture and their Balloon Museum.

The "Sagat Shop" kicks off next month in Sagat's Balloon Museum, offering limited-edition Street Fighter-themed goods for sale. There are several varieties of sake and tea, snacks, stickers, and more, all themed around characters from the games.

Ryu and Ken sake blends:

E. Honda rice:

Chun Li and Dhalsim tea blends:

"Black Mont Blanka" ice cream bar:

Some of the items were sold previously at Tokyo Ginza; their arrival at the Sagat Shop next month marks the last time they will be available for sale.
