It is confirmed today that BLOOD-CLUB DOLLS, a second live-action film inspired by the Blood-C anime series created by Production I.G and Nanase Ohkawa (CLAMP), is set to be released in Japan in the fall of 2018. As with the first live-action film Asura Girl ~BLOOD-C Ibun~ released in August 2017, Junichi Fujisaki (TV anime Blood+ director) provides a newly-written screenplay. While no details are available now, the story will include "new developments."
The second live-action film is again directed by Asura Girl's Shutaro Oku, who previously worked on the Blood-C The Last Mind stage play in July 2015. Ryunosuke Matsumura (Nine in the Terror in Resonance stage play) and Kanon Miyahara (Saya Kisaragi in Blood-C The Last Mind and Asura Girl) are also confirmed to return, and popular anison singer Maon Kurosaki (A Certain Magical Index, School-Live!) will make her live-action film actress debut.
