While the anime's official website has released no information so far, director Seiji Mizushima announced that he planned to work on a new series (or a sequel) of the Mobile Suit Gundam 00 anime as reported on Sunday. He posted two more comments about the new project on his official Twitter yesterday. Check out what he thinks below.
"We will make a new 00. We'll do, but there's still a considerable amount of time, because we have to adjust our schedule first. I myself have already had works for the upcoming few years (laugh). But during that time, we will prepare what we can and ask to set up the working site. We will make it in a proper way, so please wait without any rush. And please do not ask Sunrise directly."
"Not only me, all of the main staff want to reunion. So we need to keep pace with each other. I believe
there are some people who want to join have appeared in this ten years. By bringing in such new powers,
I want to revive it. So please wait. I will keep tweeting what I can report to you."
Sunrise's 12th Gundam series Mobile Suit Gundam 00 was aired for two seasons in Japan: 25-episode
first season (October 2007-March 2008) and 25-episode second season (October 2008-March 2009),
then concluded with a feature film -A wakening of the Trailblazer- released in September 2010.
The series' official website was renewed for the 10th anniversary in March 2017, then has announced
various memorial projects, including a stage play adaptation set for February 2019.
Both the two seasons of the TV anime are available to all Crunchyroll members worldwide except for
Key visual for the "Gundam 000 Festival 10 Re:vision" event on Sunday
