Renowned anime writer Mari Okada (The Anthem of the Heart and Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day) makes her directorial debut with Maquia: When the Promised Flower Blooms, and ELEVEN ARTS Anime Studio has expanded screenings to Canada. The feature will debut there on July 20, which is the same date as the previously-announced U.S. screenings.
In addition to the regular screenings, Maquia will premiere in Canada as an official competitor at the 2018 Fantasia Film Festival.
