Mine Yoshizaki's Sgt. Frog Manga Celebrates Its 20th Anniversary with Special Exhibition in Shibuya

The author's drawing process video will be screened on the screen

46-year-old manga artist Mine Yoshizaki's internationally popular series Keroro Gunso/Sgt.Frog started its serialization in Kadokawa's Monthly Shonen Ace in its April 1999 issue and has printed over 14 million copies. To celebrate its 20th anniversary, Tower Records' Shibuya store in Tokyo will hold a special exhibition dedicated to the series, titled "Keroro Exhibition IN AREA 428," at the "SpaceHACHIKAI" section on its eighth floor from August 10 to September 2.

 

 

During the period of three weeks, in addition to about 150 original arts of the series, tribute illustrations by 20 famous artists will be displayed, and Yoshizaki's drawing process video will be screened on the screen. Meanwhile, reproduced illustrations with the author's autograph and memorial goods such as various artgraphs and exhibition catalog will be also sold. The price for the ticket is 1,000 yen.
