This year's July 16 is "Umi no Hi/Marine Day," a Japanese national holiday to give thanks to the ocean's bounty and to consider the importance of the ocean. To celebrate it, the official Japanese website for the ongoing TV anime adaptation of Rin Suzukawa's comedy manga Asobi Asobase now displays a special art of its three protagonist girls: Hanako Honda, Olivia, and Kasumi Nomura in swimsuit, for one day only.
"Shochu Omimai Moushiage-masu" (Please accept our best greetings for the hot season !)
The Lerche (Konohana Kitan, Kino's Journey -the Beautiful World- the Animated Series)-produced TV anime
adaptation, titled Asobi Asobase- workshop of fun - premiered in Japan on July 8, and has been also available
to Crunchyroll members worldwide except for Asia.
About the Show:
Olivia is a blonde-haired beauty who was born and raised in Japan, but can’t speak any English. Despite
always acting serious and as an intellectual, Kasumi is a bespectacled girl with short hair, who also can’t
speak English. Finally, there’s the pig-tailed Hanako, who’s cheerful but can’t seem to become a normie.
three middle schoolers end up making a “Players’ Club”?! The ultimately cute, ultimately fun and hilarious
teenage girls’ comedy is about to begin!
