    Average at best.. some spoilers
Average anime, good for killing time but nothing special. Somewhat of spoilers ahead.

No real character progression. I mean, why would the main character still wear his school clothes in an environment where they could do him more harm than good, and none of the other characters think weirdly of his otherworldly attire?
Bad guys are simply forgiven and become good?
    Also, certainly a spoiler. ...

One of the Best Animes I have seen so far
I love this anime, it really pulled me in and as soon as i was hooded it was done. I would like to see another season of this series if there is one out there. The story line of these two boys stuck in another word is amazing. I want to know what happens to them next.

  • Arata the Legend a unfinished legend
while i will say that i do like this anime it deals with bullies. it also talks about being able to overcome challenges in your life. it seemed very rushed anime. while i have not read the manga i don't how it ends because i would like to hope their will be a continuation soon. through with so many series coming out it likely it could be lost in the shuffle of things. the story many times seem ...

    Poorly structured and paced
It has the feel of many 50 to 60 episode long shows but with only 12 episodes. What I mean by this is that the story would have been told better if it were considerably longer. Instead we are given drastic character mood swings that seem to be brought on by minor events, useless characters that add nothing to the story, and a villain with what is probably the worst motive I have ever seen. In the ...

Wouldn't Rewatch and only watching this to waste time
Sadly this isn't on par with Yuu Watase's other works such as Fushigi Yuugi, Alice 19th, and Absolute Boyfriend. Character development was really slow and used cliche scenarios. Perhaps I just got tired of the same stuff. (No way, I was able to go through both Fushigi Yuugi versions). Then again I didn't like the anime version of Fushigi Yuugi and I haven't checked out the manga for Arata so ...

one of those shows you will lose sleep for.
I was very close minded about this show at first, after reading the plot it sound like some shojo about some crossdressing boy who pretends to be a princess after the current one is killed. (i read the manga plot not the plot on crunchyroll) I saw it was a shounen and thus gave it a shot and Marathon the series to the most recent episode (9). I'm not very proud of myself for being so close minded ...

Slow start, but definitely worth a watch!
As a warning, the series starts off slow. Most of the first few episodes deal with Arata Hinohara (the protagonist) whining about trust issues, and being chased. The pacing on these episodes is kind of slow. Around episode four or so, the series takes a turn for the better. The pacing seems to become better, the plot becomes better, the characters (including Arata H) become better (in fact, Arata ...
