    One of the Best Animes
This anime is really an amazing story. While the animation is a tad bit jerky and robot like, It is hardly noticeable. However, everything else in here really makes up for the tad bit of animation problems. There are so many great characters and personalities, and the development within them as the series goes on is excellent. There are also a few emotional moments which actually brought me to ...

    High action, good pace
STORY - Arpeggio of Blue Steel follows Gunzō Chihaya, a young naval recruit who seems fast tracked for a career in the ranks. Things take a turn in his life when Iona, a mental model of the fleet of fog submarine I-401, makes contact with him and gives him a way to fight back against the forces of the fog.

PLOT - Arpeggio of Blue Steel follows our protagonist as he skillfully commands his ...

    Absolutely obessed with this series
I can understand some people cannot get over the art style of the anime. If that type of situation does happen to you, I highly recommend reading the manga. It has such a wonderful storyline and plot line. I know the anime at times makes this series appear to be a Harem for Chihiya Gunzou, but it is really not. It is a beautiful story about alien ships learning what it means to be human. To care ...

    Fantastic, must watch series!
This is one of those series that are so good, that when it's over you feel a sense of emptiness in your life and you question if you can move on without more of it in your life. =P lol I loved everything about this anime. No fan service, subtle humour, great story and characters, awesome action scenes, fantastic art. There is a significant amount of replay value here. I'll certainly be purchasing ...

Loved the manga, but the anime is kind of meh.
I found this anime by falling in love with the manga. I love the plot and this flavor of sci-fi. So while waiting for more of the manga to come out I decided to go after the anime. I was kind of disappointed. The whole thing seemed very rushed, and the animation was a let down. I'm not saying "THIS SHOW IS CRAP DON'T WATCH!" This show was still enjoyable, but these two issues just kind of ...

An adaptation that could have been better
Arpeggio of Blue Steel is an adaptation of the manga of the same name that eventually diverts from the original plot in order to conclude the series in a single season. However, the plot up until the half-way point is fairly true to the source material. This show is probably best classified as a sci-fi magical girl genre, though the "magic" here is always technology such as processing speeds, ...

    Run-of-the-mill Action Anime
The series has strong potential, and a very strong premise; however, the execution was faulty at best. Simply put, this is just a run-of-the-mill action anime, with an interesting backstory.

    Best Anime of 2013 (IMO)
This is my favorite anime of 2013 for a reason.

For starters, let's address the big elephant in the room that turns people away: the different animation style. I'm going to be honest, at first, it looks like a video game, but after a while, you get used to it.

Anyways, let's get on to the storyline. The plot of Arpeggio is one of the best out there. It follows Gunzou and his ship, I-401 ...

    pretty and almost interesting
This show literally goes no where, provides no answers, and delivers on nothing but naval-scifi-hot girls fanservice. It's certainly not bad, and were it not for the fact that it literally accomplishes nothing but booms, boobs, plot conveniences, and the occasional interesting scene it would have had another star easily.

The best things about this show are that it kept the fan service to a ...
