    Wow. This is simply amazing.
I first watched this show on a whim when I saw it had been released for the new season. I was immediately hooked. The storylines following the challenges the Fog girls go through in trying to figure out who they are, what they want, and where they belong are absolutely beautiful. But the positives of the show don't stop there. In addition to an amazing storyline the combat is absolutely brilliant. ...

    My initial thoughts...
My first impressions were good; the naval combat, while sci-fi in nature, looks rather grounded and believable. It took a moment for me to realize the characters were cel-shade CG, they are well enough rendered. I will admit after watching for a bit you will noticed the chinks in the 3D models. Sadly lackluster rendering stands out a bit too obviously in the supporting cast. The ships themselves ...

    Amazing all around series
Going into this anime, I expected naval warfare to be the most excruciating/ boring show yet. Well... I was pleasantly surprised. Not only did the first episode successfully create a compelling story, each episode was better than the one before. Here are my main thoughts

Story: Naval warfare for the most part with intriguing side stories or character revelations on land. The anime clearly shows ...

    Great premise, unusual animation
    This is a tough one.
I watched this episode, because I thought that the naval battles, and high-tech would make for some good action scenes, and the Military/Political story is something I'd be very interested in.
But the animation lets it down, in my opinion. I can appreciate that the crispness, and consistency of it would appeal to some people, but to me, the end result is characters who ...

"Confirmed?" Can't wait for season 2!!! (Long but worth the read)
Season 2 has been demanded for a long time since people finished the anime. Look up the channel called: "Flying Dog" I'd say season 2 has been confirmed, there is a video that has the title and has different characters on it. Also check out the official website for the anime we want to see more of; aokihagane.com if you don't know japanese or have a translate program in your pc or whatever you ...

    High action, good pace
STORY - Arpeggio of Blue Steel follows Gunzō Chihaya, a young naval recruit who seems fast tracked for a career in the ranks. Things take a turn in his life when Iona, a mental model of the fleet of fog submarine I-401, makes contact with him and gives him a way to fight back against the forces of the fog.

PLOT - Arpeggio of Blue Steel follows our protagonist as he skillfully commands his ...

    Fantastic, must watch series!
This is one of those series that are so good, that when it's over you feel a sense of emptiness in your life and you question if you can move on without more of it in your life. =P lol I loved everything about this anime. No fan service, subtle humour, great story and characters, awesome action scenes, fantastic art. There is a significant amount of replay value here. I'll certainly be purchasing ...

    Run-of-the-mill Action Anime
The series has strong potential, and a very strong premise; however, the execution was faulty at best. Simply put, this is just a run-of-the-mill action anime, with an interesting backstory.
