Arpeggio of Blue Steel: Ars Nova
    I love this anime.
It magnificently blends the warships of World War 2 and Sci-Fi (Reminds me of Space Battleship Yamato....sort of......)
Also, the music is totally boss.
The animation takes a little adjusting though; it's purely CG.

  • Sad to see it end so soon
Extremely well made anime with a great amount of detail, I hope that a season 2 will be made.

  • Five Stars. Similar to as stated by others, harem=fleet of females!
Good show, very entertaining. Interesting to see female AI systems becoming sentient, humanistic.

  • One of my favorite animes this fall.
A joy to watch. This is a very detailed CG anime. Please let there be a second season.

  • Well, the Ship has Sailed..
So.. Here we are after 12 weeks.

What is the result of all that time? What do I think of this?

A stellar performance is what I think it is.

Arpeggio of Blue Steel is a well made series in my books. The characters are enjoyable, the animation (although a little jarring at first) is superb and the soundtrack is very well done (dat OP (^-^) ). Much like waves on a ocean, this anime ...

  • Differently Brilliant
While aliens or extraterrestrials are unoriginal, the design of this anime based on the concept of aliens is original. Who would've thought that aliens could transform into giant, overpowered warships with stunning albeit strange female avatars? I sure didn't. The plot could've been extended to include even more detail, but the action was more than enough to compensate for the lack of a rich, ...

  • Superb science fiction with intriguing philosophical topics!
I admit I haven't read the manga, but MAN was this enjoyable! Great action, great ships, distinct personalities amongst the main human AND mental model characters! Though provoking philosophical discussions about the nature of humans and their emotions, as well as the meaning of life! In a way, it's like the ultimate Japanese interpretation of many themes on Star Trek. This is a must for any ...

    How Things Should Be
Many an anime that are just a second-party reanimation of a previous work, be the work a VN, a Light Novel, a Manga, etc., tend to be awesome up until the the last few critical stages. These animes tend to either skip out on a lot of important plot details, cut short a few key scenes, or simply leave the ending hanging at the very end.

To be fair, this is not entirely of the animators ...

  • One of the best special effect animes ever!
I knew that this series was going to be popular from the get go and I was right. This anime is one of the top favorites on my list and was just phenomenal! The plot and CGI animation was outstanding, the characters had unique traits, the ships' histories and art were crazy good, and the special effects were out of this world! This anime has greatly influenced me and is a must watch for any anime ...
