  • Shaft's Bizarre Masterpiece
The Monogatari Series in general is not for everyone. If you want a series that moves quickly, this is not for you. If you want a series with a lot of action, this is not for you. If you want a series that is easy to watch, this is not for you.

However, for those who can stomach it, this first entry in Studio Shaft's long-running series is extremely thoughtful and entertaining. It's ...

  • The series I can never pronounce correctly
I was told I needed to check this show out because of a kick ass brutal fight scene that is superbly animated. So I plunked this into my queue watched an episode, and left it to rot at the bottom for about a year. I went back to it when I decided I needed to actually watch the shows I have queued up. Boy am I glad I did.

Even though the video quality is SD on Crunchyroll, animation wise it's ...

  • From Frozone (the black guy in incredibles)
I went into this show, without any previous information, having only been recommended by a friend, picking the show up immediately as they told me. As I went in, I felt as information was being thrown at a rapid pace that was difficult to keep track of. The more the show went on the easier it was to understand what information was given, feeling as though this wasn't a negative as others claim it ...

  • I was like woah, then i was like WOAH!!!
Amazing, glad i took a chance on this past the first couple of episodes. The style is for sure unique and creative, and the story itself is gripping. But will say maybe not for everybody, due to slight gore, and the very fast cuts they do. Even for me i had some difficulty at first, but eventually you get used to it. And the series takes on a slight lighter tone...kind of...at least not like the ...

  • Absolutely love this series!
Found this show when I first joined Crunchy Roll. Immediately loved the storyline. Despite Koyomi being extremely creepy at some moments in the show, I did enjoy the fact that he would do anything and everything to protect the people he cherishes and loves.

  • It's Like my Uncle's stories
Speaking of Bakemonogatari and the many related series, I would just say it is amazing. Characters (mostly young and female) are all uniquely defined and interesting, with one exception. (You'll recognize her when you meet her, but she shows up later, not in Bakemongatari.) The scenes are lavish. I've heard that Japanese people have great bathrooms, but the Araragi family's is fantastic. Most of ...

Great series, my absolute favorite, but...
This series is amazing. The word play, the characters, the plot, everything about it is great. The only problem is that Crunchyroll has made watching it awkward. For example, Bakemonogatari is missing episodes 13, 14, and 15. Hanamonogatari is under Monogatari Second Season and the 5 episodes are combined in one long video.
