A tragic love story between tweens from two worlds.. it's well animated, but you really have to adjust your heart rate like a diving dolphin so you don't run out of oxygen as this story stays down a long time. It's slow, the jokes are unfunnay, the plot is filled with huge holes. Put it this way: it makes Twilight look like an exercise in logic. If Mysterious Girlfriend X is a spit fetish show, this one is a "panting" fetish as these girls get overheated all the time and exhale steamy clouds. While there is clearly some romance going on, it's all behind the scenes as well, so even if that's your thing, you'll go a long way without so much as an onscreen kiss, in fact watch the whole thing and get no-thing. The animation is good, except it's barely animate, they basically use a lot of stall tactics so they don't have to do much more than lip flaps, and unfortunately it's obvious and annoying, because these characters don't have anything to say. Also, for some reason, there are a lot of sea battles using intersteller technology, which just seem silly due to mediocre CGI. The "romance" plot and the "war" plot don't really mesh well, and the anime can't make any sense of the behaviors of the characters, it's just about striking the next "pose". But, these kids aren't interesting enough to strike a pose, they should do something and then try to look iconic.
