Hang in there it gets much better.
This storyline is very very slow in the begin and takes some time to get moving. The characters by the end of the show are very well developed and a lot of thought went into their actions. I loved this show and was sad when it ended. It felt like this show could have gone on longer if changed a little bit. Over all it was a very moving and thoughtful sad story that I am glad I gave it the chance. ...

    Soulful Anime - loved it
This anime was very heartfelt. It also has an amazing soundtrack. Watched this with my wife and we loved it. It also helped to really get in touch with your inner child, as most anime's do. The story was captivating.

Aliens, Schoolgirls, Spaships. WHY IS THIS BORING!!!!!
Yeah. . . BORING! Blue Drop is so frigging boring, such a tired idea, tired characters, tired stereotypes and just. . . blegh! The story is so old, an alien race on earth, one human that seems to make a connection, stupid misunderstandings abroad. Honestly, in my opinion, skip it, not worth the watch. Go watch. . . ANYTHING else. Two Thumbs Down!

    Deliberate Action Drama
At first it seemed slow and boring but the pace is just right to develop characters. There is a good emotional investment to make in order to stay engaged in the series. There is a lot of teen angst. It may be frustrating to watch but it makes it more believable. All the side characters get good screen time. The alien all female race is not so belivable, but exhibit human (or as they call, Forime) ...

    I give a solid 3 stars
I bought this show on sale from CR's store, and watched it this weekend. It seems slow at first and it really is a slower-building show but I think the pacing fit. There are some plot holes that I would have liked more information on but I think it is perhaps the right length as it stands. It has a beautiful soundtrack and one of the BEST opening scrolls I have ever seen (every time Blue - the ...

Not So Bad, Between 3 and 4?
It wasn't so bad for me, although I liked the ending more than anything else.

An anime with potential that just falls a little short.
Blue Drop is an interesting case for me. I want to like it, and do like it for many reasons, but at the end of the day, I still can't say it would be on any list of anime I made simple because it just didn't seem to sit right with me.

Blue drop is a Yuri heavy anime where a science fiction plot and a school girl plot mix.
Essentially, the Science fiction story portions felt more like an ...

    Worth a Second Watch
The show is about a collision between worlds and it effectively uses friction between genres (school, slice-of-life, sci-fi, shoujo ai, etc). The modest pace lets the viewer take in the excellent presentation of the strange, fractured story. A second viewing will be more rewarding than the first as so much of the story and its presentation is subtle and sublime.

Visually, there’s not much to ...
