If Boruto follows Naruto in terms of episodes, there will be 499 more episodes to go, which is 9 and a half years. Get comfy guys.
This is just my opinion on Boruto, and what I honestly think. I've heard people say that Boruto is worse than Naruto, both in quality and story-telling, but i'd like to think that's not the case. People are comparing Baruto to Naruto, and of course it's not going to live up to Naruto's massive name. At least not yet. But I like to think of Boruto, not as a continuation of Naruto, but like a ...

feels like a cartoon. i guess thats okay
    let's start positive
The hook at the start is genuinely interesting. The animation and art style are much better than i anticipated. I was worried they'd continue with the dated animation of shippuden (no hate, but it started almost 10 years ago).

And now to anger the fanboys (god forbid we look at a show objectively)

They spend literally no time characterizing anybody. We get some brief ...

    Character Development - Time
I've always been a huge fan of Naruto since I was about 10 or 11. I didn't really hop on the Naruto train until I found an anime website to binge watch it; That was when I was hooked. But with any good story, even the Naruto series took time for character development. We had to be introduced to characters and see their back stories and see their current branch of the story.

    That's the same ...

Feels more like a Kids Show
    Title says it all.
As while it might become a epic story, right now it feels like a kids show. Something a 7-9 year old me would enjoy. I've watched 5 episodes so far, and i frankly don't want to watch it anymore. It's not interesting watching Boruto with the same setup every episode. Someone gets angry or whatever and this shadow take a hold of them. They fight them off and at the end of the day ...

    Naruto father figure
The pace of the anime is good but so far it is a copycat of Naruto, the children have the same personality and ninjutsu as their parent so it's not very refreshing...

The most annoying thing is that Naruto as a dad/member of the family sucks. I don't really like the fact that for a kid that grew up without parents it actually does the same to his kids and he doesn't really fit Naruto's ...

Boruto - the Watered Down Version of Naruto.
    Long time Naruto series fan:

My main problem with the series is that every piece of action in the show is a let-down.
. This show feels like a very long, over-blown filler episode. Literally, ...

Mehs all around. Say no to Clones.
The first episode was fine but it quickly went downhill from there.

Boruto suffers some major flaws, which might've been less noticeable if the Naruto universe was fresh, but since it's not...

Characters are too similar to their parents. Boruto is bo-ring.
The plot/conflict has no drive. They open the series with some future BS promising a huge conflict and greatness instead of hooking us ...

    Why Boruto feels forced.
If I was watching this for the first time without ever having watched Naruto, I'd probably have stopped after the 2nd episode. The protagonist, Boruto, is a young man with a very narrow view of the world. This father is the leader of his village and a workaholic, he's angry at his dad for not being around more, but does little to nothing to actually support his mom and sister and instead is a ...

    Character/Story are a drag
The kids are almost the same as their parents, I dont feel like they have like some unique factor about them.I dislike Boruto as a character, an undeserved bratty attitude he hasnt had to endure what naruto had to, he was spoon fed everything.

Slice of Life at the Academy little plot line going on is boring, if all these talented young ninja can do almost anything why are they still in the ...

    Cartoonish and Boring
The show has been very uneventful, and sure there might be more to come, but I care about the here and now. Boruto is very unlikable character with a boring personality. The shows plot is very slow and the pacing sucks. Naruto as Hokage is uneventful and I feel his portrayal as a father figure is terrible. Naruto knows what its like to not have a father and how important family is, am I really ...
