The next big anime card game after yugioh
Unlike the older yugioh episodes, Cardfight Vanguard emulates the actual rules and decks of the card game in the show. I always thought it was annoying to see Kaiba summon like 3 blue eyes white dragons in one turn without any tribute or special summon. Like nothing they did in the show would pertain to the actual card game. But if you are or were a Yugioh fan and are looking for a new card game ...

cardfight vanguard has a good ploit but such a repeat with every card show
cardfight vandguard is a good show and most of the characters are explained well and well thought out. The whole storyline so far seems patchy at points though. The whole heart of the cards is very cliche but does work for this show. overall i would recommend this to anyone that likes a card series anime.

    STAND UP...and Support Vanguard!
Ok, I have been on here only to see countless comments of how this anime is just another spin-off of Yu-Gi-Oh, or how it is just another card game anime. NO DUH PEOPLE....it's not called "CardFight" Vanguard cause it's a hentai, of course there is gonna be some card playing in here. Also, I'll give it to whomever thinks it's like Yu-Gi-Oh, the main character is a wimp. However, he doesn't have ...

  • Watch season 1, forget the rest!
Season 4 must be the worst season so far in a series that started out great with season 1 and then gradualy got worse until the 4th season now ended. The 5 season is with a completely new set of characters and set 3 years into the feature. Strange that the main person in this series, Aichi, hardly got to show himself in season 4.

My conclusions is, watch the 1 season and forget that the rest ...

  • A good card game anime
For an anime in general it is average (think a 3.5) , especially seeing the rather slow beginning to the show but I must say it picks up in the middle and races towards the end for a great finale.

the sound effects and visuals are great to be honest, and some moments do shine very well due to the great visuals for a more modern anime. I also like the character designs even if some characters ...

  • Simple but effective
I really like this anime. The first episodes are great if you don't know how to play Vanguard because they work also as a tutorial video to explain the main rules of the game. I like the main character, is a good kid who just wants to socialize and make friends. He knows nothing at the beginning of the show but he learns quickly. It's easy to see why the audience will feel sympathy for him ...

    this anime is awesome
this show is way better than yugioh. the art and the story line is awesome. they made the main character timid but he turns out to be a courages person later on the anime. i recommend to watch it.....

    Stand up The vanguard!
That's the tag line of a character in the series if you guys didn't know. I like to pick out a tag line as a title so you have an idea what they would say.

    Overall
The story for this anime is not like your other card game show. I did a review on battle spirits and the overall plot is typical but in Cardfight vanguard it throws almost everything you know about the genre. The main character ...

You will learn to love it!
    Title says it all.

The show is designed to learn to play the game. As you watch you become involved and then yearn to play it for yourself! After that is when you start buying the cards and the game does not disappoint.

If you have your doubts about the main character being too weak to don't worry. He steps up so that you don't have to get annoyed with him.

The story is that of a ...

An anime that's better than Yu-Gi-Oh (in my opinion that is)
It's been a while since I've seen this anime but I'll give out based on what I remember.
This anime focuses on middle schoolers playing a card game known as "Vanguard" and they play at a card shop then at tournaments. I love the plot and aspect of it and got hooked on it immediately within the first 5 minutes of it. If you've enjoyed this, there are 2 other seasons to check out. I'll do seasons 2 ...
