I feel like multiple episode duels worked well in Yugioh because of the nature of the card game allowing for longer duels, while Vanguard fights are typically much shorter. This makes them feel dragged out (without any flashbacks, anyways).

Repetitive and boring to be honest, with a very slow plot and little character evolution, but the art is good and it has an overall good atmosphere. Needs more Misaki and Kourin (for aichi) and less little sister saying "aichi" every minute

Another interesting plot, is if Misaki loses and Ultra Rare are forced to do something to get what they want. Great ending though, remembering his name was a nice touch!
