  • Clips on Youtube made it seem funnier
The clips for the show on YouTube made it look like a good show, but when I watched it most of the funny parts were on YouTube. Wish he would have been able to get over his germaphobia, that is sort of what I was expecting the story line to be about. The story with him and the basketball girl was really funny and interesting, I wish they had developed that relationship more. Some of the side ...

  • Comedy and soccer come together
I definitely think the first half of the season was better. There was more of a plot line going on. Then it mostly shifted over to a slice of life without much soccer being shown. I still enjoyed it, but I wanted to know more with where the plot was going. The animation for Aoyama's soccer moves were beautiful. Still worth a watch, but don't expect everything to be resolved at the end.

    Really a ...

  • Not heavy sports-related
The design of the characters are extremely beautiful! I really like anime with good art. Overall, the content of the anime was mildly interesting. It was entertaining enough for me to watch all the episodes but not exciting enough to recommend to a friend. Aoyama is an interesting character but oftentimes he didn't truly feel like the main character in the series.

Even though the anime was ...

The Main character isn't the Main Character [Not a soccer Anime either]
I watched all the way to episode 12 because I like to watch as far as I can go. I came into the series hoping for a soccer related comedy anime, and got a pretty dull slice of life instead. Also, It tends to frustrate me when the main character isn't the main character. This series is all about getting to know how the main character has influenced his classmates from their point of view. Each ...

  • Not a total sports anime
I thought watching this show was gonna be sports heavy with the lead being a super awesome player that is a germaphobe. But it seemed liked every episode wasn't like that, they had side stories and basically showed other people(that weren't even on the team) and their mini storyline. Which was fine, but it seemed to be off track or maybe they shouldn't have advertised it as sports heavy than what ...

It Was Good More Than Halfway Through But...
The animation was great, the soccer plot was great. I'm getting into the sports anime genre these days and soccer seemed new to me, and the plot where a soccer player has a germaphobic issue was definitely new. It was very lighthearted and funny.

You get a good, fun plot more than halfway through the series. Then for some horrible reason, around episode 8, the storyline drops. Plunges. It's ...

Aoyama-Kun is a very simple and clean anime.
Aoyama-Kun has a very simple story. It has a lot going for it for being a soccer anime. It's more of a comedy than just your average sports anime. It offers what I like in an anime. Simple, No limit to episode creativity, and a good amount of comedy. Not a lot of people sit back and watch an anime just because it has sports in it, but I will tell you this is definitely more of a comedy. Also a ...

    Great High School Anime
It's a great high school anime with a bit soccer on the side, honestly I probably wouldn't have liked it if it was a soccer anime. There's the comedic value which is well done enough to not detract (minus a couple times maybe...), The Character development seemed really well done when watching it but it still leads you to wanting to see more so you can learn more (no clue if that even made sense), ...

Don't Watch This if You're Here for the Soccer
If you're looking for a fast-paced, realistic soccer anime that will blow the socks off Christiano Ronaldo himself... this is not the anime for you.

While soccer is an important part of this anime, it serves more as a plot-device than a main focus of the story. The characters' goal of playing at Japanese Nationals takes a backseat to more traditional high school anime troubles like crushes, ...

Liking this show for the right reasons.
Watch more than the first 2 episodes. The main idea around this anime isn't about soccer, but rather how the main character effects the lives of everyone else. Its mainly a comedy/slice of life story line that shouldn't be taken too seriously and it does a good job keeping you engaged with characters. I've watched all of the episodes released so far and feel like the reviewers that have left 1 ...
