  • Not a total sports anime
I thought watching this show was gonna be sports heavy with the lead being a super awesome player that is a germaphobe. But it seemed liked every episode wasn't like that, they had side stories and basically showed other people(that weren't even on the team) and their mini storyline. Which was fine, but it seemed to be off track or maybe they shouldn't have advertised it as sports heavy than what ...

It Was Good More Than Halfway Through But...
The animation was great, the soccer plot was great. I'm getting into the sports anime genre these days and soccer seemed new to me, and the plot where a soccer player has a germaphobic issue was definitely new. It was very lighthearted and funny.

You get a good, fun plot more than halfway through the series. Then for some horrible reason, around episode 8, the storyline drops. Plunges. It's ...

Aoyama-Kun is a very simple and clean anime.
Aoyama-Kun has a very simple story. It has a lot going for it for being a soccer anime. It's more of a comedy than just your average sports anime. It offers what I like in an anime. Simple, No limit to episode creativity, and a good amount of comedy. Not a lot of people sit back and watch an anime just because it has sports in it, but I will tell you this is definitely more of a comedy. Also a ...

  • Great High School Anime
It's a great high school anime with a bit soccer on the side, honestly I probably wouldn't have liked it if it was a soccer anime. There's the comedic value which is well done enough to not detract (minus a couple times maybe...), The Character development seemed really well done when watching it but it still leads you to wanting to see more so you can learn more (no clue if that even made sense), ...

Don't Watch This if You're Here for the Soccer
If you're looking for a fast-paced, realistic soccer anime that will blow the socks off Christiano Ronaldo himself... this is not the anime for you.

While soccer is an important part of this anime, it serves more as a plot-device than a main focus of the story. The characters' goal of playing at Japanese Nationals takes a backseat to more traditional high school anime troubles like crushes, ...

Liking this show for the right reasons.
Watch more than the first 2 episodes. The main idea around this anime isn't about soccer, but rather how the main character effects the lives of everyone else. Its mainly a comedy/slice of life story line that shouldn't be taken too seriously and it does a good job keeping you engaged with characters. I've watched all of the episodes released so far and feel like the reviewers that have left 1 ...

    It's not related to soccer!
When I saw this on Crunchyroll I was excited to see a real soccer anime since there are lots of fake ones.
I got very disappointed by watching it. I am not gonna talking about the bad comedy in this anime. simply just talking about the relation of this anime to soccer. Unfortunately there is NO RELATION between this anime and soccer.
Like most of soccer anime there is gonna be lots of zoom on ...

    soccer meets anime comedies
This anime is more about the comedy and main character, Aoyama-kun, and side character stories than the actually game of soccer so far. So if the idea of a "sports anime" is keeping you from watching it, don't let it! The soccer parts are fun and fast paced and are more about what the characters are feeling or going through outside of the game itself. It's funny and full of side stories about the ...

  • .Not a sports anime.
This show while it has soccer, the soccer is usually a backdrop for other events. So far the episodes involve different characters whether it be teammates, classmates, or people from other schools and there reaction to Aoyama. While some are better then others each reaction and situation is different and fairly funny in there own way. As long as you don't go in wanting a Haikyuu or Kuroko, then ...

    odd germphobe disorder
first of all being a germphobe or having disorders like this is not a comedy it hurts people. it takes them away from their friends and family. it stops them from being a healthy part of society because it stops them from doing normal things. there is constant anxiety and mental blockers. while it sounds like a funny and cool thing it kinda mean and there nothing funny about this. a person with ...
