    This is so slooowwwwhatishappening (Ep1)
First half of the episode or so plodded along at the break-neck pace of my grandmother scrolling down a page on the internet. And then the rest of the episode happens. It did it in such a way that was completely unexpected, exciting, and made you want to pay very close attention. It starts off seeming like a shoujo slice-of-life-turned-magical-girl anime, when in reality it turns into an anime ...

    A great anime - blah
So yeah, I only watched the first episode - but it seems to be pretty good.

The story line was pretty good - it left you on a ...

This is a very Dark anime, don't be fooled.
    People's souls become corrupted.
And they must be executed by magical girls.
Those people's very existence is then erased from reality.

The main hero must come to terms with and accept what she has done.
There must be another way, so she thought.

This show is very generic but it does everything very well.
If you like puella magica or shakugan no shana, this is exactly what you are ...

Fire, Mystery, Girls Kicking Ass, Day break Illusion -Review
My first thoughts when seeing this anime were, oh another show where little anime girls fight ridiculous things and frolic in weird dresses. I was majorly proven wrong in the first episode, this show is full of a mind boggling plot with mind fucks being thrown left and right at you, not that i'm complaining, I happen to love shows like that. Also the first episode had amazing animation, if you ...

very interesting and pretty good so far
So i have watched the pv and i really wanted to watch this show because I felt a very dark vibe. I was quite shocked there would be death in the first episode and how the world has these statics scenes. It made me want to know more and for a magical girl anime to have a lot of blood is a good sense that it will be enjoyable later on. Hopefully it wont be great in the beginning then starts to fall ...

    Akari isn't an emo ?
I've always been a fan of magical girl anime, and as such I've watched quite a few different series. When I was first looking for something to watch and I saw that Day Break Illusion had magical girls AND tarot cards, it was something I just had to watch.

First off, the main characters were pretty interesting. While at first they didn't seem to have much to their personalities beyond the usual ...

    I don't wanna be mean. . . but meh
Day Break Illusion has so much here that can be good, but for some reason it never seems to realize it. Well, pros of the series are; nice shiny animation, some interesting character designs, and good sound quality. However, the cons are; unfocused story, generic one dimensional characters, underutilized plot devices, and the stroy seems to have no weight behind it.

So, getting back into this, ...

    SO MUCH Lost Potential!!
Day Break Illusion is a series that could of joined Madoka Magica in building the dark magical girl sub-genre, instead it simply copied it with little originality. What little originality this series does contain comes from its Tarot Card Reading theme which doesn't effect the progression of the series as much as you might think. Day Break Illusion can be exciting at times and deliver emotional ...

the title says more than you think.
Day Break Illusion lives up to the title in the manner of having you looking for the illusion of a coming bright day for most of the series. This is a very dark series with magical girls wielding tarot based powers to fight off an encroaching intelligent darkness. It does resolve itself well in the very last episode, but it's long in coming.

This could be roughly described as a coming of age ...

Day Break Illusion and Madoka Magica??
The anime is pretty good...although it lacks the activity that makes you want to watch the next episode. Sometimes when I watch this I feel that it's not inspired but it was almost copied from Madoka Magica...(Sorry my opinion) but I like the idea of tarot cards. I was hoping there should be a mahou shoujo anime with tarot cards. I don't like how they drew some of the characters...especially the ...
