  • A hilarious tribute!
"DD Fist of the North Star" (DD = Design Deformation) is a comedic tribute to Tetsuo Hara's spectacular action comic franchise "Fist of the North Star" best known for combining deadly martial arts with over-the-top blood and carnage in a post-apocalyptic world devastated by nuclear war.

This hilarious TV series is mostly based on the spin-off comic of the same name in which our three heroes, ...

YOU wa SHOCK: The references are killer
From excessively long titles to hilarious onomatopoeia, this series touches upon just about every memorable moment from everybody's favorite 1980s anime masterpiece, Hokuto no Ken.

In other words, unless you've seen and really get the original, you probably won't enjoy this series, or will get bored quickly. And I mean really get the original, and the fandom it has spawned. Case ...

  • Nostalgia Much!?!? Enjoyable Series
I have been watching this series and it is wonderfully hilarious. Its one of those shows where you dont need to over analyze stuff because it is just there to put a smile on your face. I highly recommend watching this. And if you havent seen Rock Lee and His Ninja Pals go watch that too.

It also catches and mocks little things in the original that made no sense, seemed ...

Very funny (if you're a fan of Fist of the North Star)
Based on the two episodes I've seen, the whole series will be a bunch of character spoofs of major and minor characters from the early episodes of the original Fist of the North Star. I've read all of the manga, and while I watched these I was grinning and giggling most of the time. Fist of the North Star always seemed to take itself a bit too seriously, so this parody is welcome. I will ...

First impressions on DD Fist of the North Star.
Fist of the North Star. A classic anime and manga franchise hailed in Japan and known for it's graphic violence and brutality coupled with a touching love story gets the over the top comedy treatment in it's latest anime run based off a manga of the same name by a mangaka named Kajio with character designs by Masayuki Sekine.

The show is set in an alternative timeline from the original series, ...
