The modern-day anime classic and brainchild of rising star Makoto Shinkai, 5 Centimeters Per Second, presented to you as never before. Witness the story of Takaki, a young man on a journey from Tokyo to reunite with his childhood best friend, Akari. Feel his emotions superimposed on the gorgeous, heavily researched and impressively animated backdrops of Japan as he travels by train to see her. here is something new people buy the dvd and watch it in a upscale player where you get near blu ray quailty? I do agree with head shot though but come on.

are you kidding me I've seen 1080p version of this film and it's fucking amazing video quality wise besides being a great film that everyone should see but If I'm going to own a copy of this going to be in bluray.

I think the reason they're not doing a Blu-ray is because they're soooo much cheaper in North America than in Japan and we're in the same region. The BD in Japan is currently ~$60 USD so they would lose money if it was imported from the US.

It wil be another super crappy cheap Manga Video Uk release, I honestly prefer spend more and import the Dvd and Blu Ray from the States than give money to Manga Video or Beez. so yeah I'm going to buy it from Right Stuf..

Cheaper for us in the UK to pre-order it on Amazon and wait for its 28th March release. Will cost me £8.99 which is equivalent to $14.50 + free P&P for you in N. America. For once, cheaper to buy here then importing.

Bought! From what I remeber, it was a great movie, sad but great. But, I really only bought it to support CR! Thanks CR for taking another step in furthering the development of Japanese Culture in America!

To the best of my knowledge, NO company has the license to distribute a blu-ray of this movie outside of Japan. It seems like some shady shit is going on in the background. Either import the blu ray from Japan, or wait indefinitely
