On Friday, March 11, 2011 at 05:46 UTC, Japan was hit with a devastating earthquake reaching a magnitude of 8.9 on the richter scale - one of the largest in recorded history.
Crunchyroll would like to help fund the emergency response and the long-term recovery efforts that will be needed to rebuild damaged communities throughout Japan.
For every dollar that you donate, Crunchyroll will match your donation (up to $5,000 USD).
Donate in $5 increments. You can select multiple quantities during checkout to donate more!
Once we have collected all donations by the end of next week, we will choose an appropriate charitable organization that will best assist the on-ground efforts to aid those affected. We will either select one of the charities listed below, or one that fits within our vision to bring much needed resources to those in need. We'll make sure to send your username along with donation amount so you may be recognized, as well as report back here regarding the total amount we've raised.
