He's somewhat childish, but only because he has to deal with his idiot parnter, Shirashi. However he's brillant at figuring out 'who dunnit.' By no mean is DKS a serious cop/mystery drama. It's comical and entertaining. The cast is good. Kurokawa is a bit like Nick Charles keeping his thoughts to himself until the very end. The only thing about DKS I didn't particularly like was Shizue, Suzuki's wife. I understand the role she played, but she just annoyed me. I wish the series had been longer so we would have been given some background on Kurokawa. All in all it's a good half hour mystery series.
