And thats the last we see of Dagomon not that it matters he is only Kazentai level (Ultimate in english) He would be disposed of easy. The Dark Area the home of the evil ones....Hikari finds herself in odd places doesn't she?

No, Gatomon is Champion level and Angewomon is Ultimate (JAP: Perfect) level. But Gatomon was able to armor digivolve because when she lost her tail ring, she was reduced to about the same power level as a Rookie.

Yep, the shadowy creature is essentially Cthulu, though in the Digiverse it's called Dagomon (Dragomon in the English versions). I like this episode, except for the fact that Dagomon (nor Demon later) get any more elaboration after this...

Anasophia: I think the significance was that in addition to her brother and Digimon, the person she automatically called out to when in danger was Takeru. Depending on one's POV, that could be romantic or platonic. Konaka left that open.

Cute, I just realized the text on the sign behind Hikari at 10:58 reads "Innsmouth", a direct reference to writer HP Lovecraft, to which Chiaki. J. Konaka, writer of this episode and Tamers is a huge fan. Very clever.

I really don't understand why Otaku, It isn't conclusively a Takari episode, even though it has both of them. Takeru doesn't do anything Daisuke wouldn't have, he was just in the right place at the right time with the right experience.
