From an 80s-90s anime watcher, this anime is a real treat
Seeing this on CR definitely brings me back. This was one of the first 'harem' anime I've ever watched. It helped pioneer the genre among other classics like Tenchi Muyo, Urusei Yastura, Saber Marionette, and Ah! My Goddess.

The premise of DNA^2 is quite ridiculous if you stop and think about it. It introduces you to Karin, a DNA operator in the future whose job is to prevent our main male ...

    Mega-playboy anime, the very harem-anime foundation. (´・ω・`)ノ
This anime was released in 1994, probably not the first, neither the last harem-anime, but for sure it was greatly developed.

Junta Momonari is an average student folk with a disturbing quirk with girls till he meets Karin Aoi, his life changes completely after that, we can say... in a good way. :3

It is a great 90's anime that everyone must watch, the shounen romantic story mix makes you ...

Ending kills the rest of the story. Also, bad concept and basic proof of bad plot.
It wasn't "bad" but it wasn't that good (even before the bad ending). I would have been okay with it if not for the ending. It's not worth watching the series. The ending ruins the rest of the series, leaving a lingering, negative taste for it. The main character doesn't end up with the person he wanted (and who really was the only good character in the series; the rest were mediocre and/or ...

  • For Those Who Want Some Cheesy Retro Anime
The series DNA^2 is not great, but it is endearing.
The plot doesn't really make all that much sense, the characters tend to do stupid things for the sake of drama, everyone wants the Protagonist's D. All the cliches are there.
For those who can enjoy such things in an ironic sense, especially with some friends, it would be appreciated. But for those who don't like that, it is worth passing ...

What a Huge Waste of Time
There is a reason no one ever mentions this anime, its only saving grace is that it is slightly less idiotic than the manga it was adapted from. Long story short the anime has no resolution and the only person who lives happily is the rapist...just skip this one, trust me.

    Practically a classic
This isn't a review so much as a walk down memory lane. If you haven't watched DNA^2 consider doing so. It's dated, and it shows, but you will still benefit from experiencing the series. Feel free to skip the rest of this "review," it's just me getting something off my chest at a moment of weakness.

I don't know much about the studio or artists involved, I do know that DNA^2 and Video Girl ...
