shocking anime! Made me turn 180 degrees
To me, this was one of the most shocking anime I have ever watched. Simply based on the cover art and simple summary made me think this was going to be another corny magical girl tv series that takes place around the age of middle school. This idea I had originally came up with is 100% false. The anime is nothing like I imagined it to be and has since episode 1 captured my attention with the ...

    Just Like Lays Potato Chips
Like the title of this review states, this show is much like lays potato chips; Delicious, but lacking in actual nutrition.

The story revolves around a boy who has been taken to an alternate world filled with magic and wonder. The boy in question must take on the role of a hero in order to save the country which summoned him. He must help them defeat another, rival nation, who has been ...

War has never been such fun.
War! What is it good for? Well in Dog Days, it's good for sporting entertainment where no one dies.

The series follows a cheerful and athletic young lad by the name of Cinque (pronounced Shinku) Izumi who lives the average life of any teenaged athlete, he attends high school and competes in sporting events. But Cinque's life takes an exciting turn when he is summoned to an alternate world ...

    Not what it first seems!
So, the first episode or 2 had me thinking this was going to be some kid friendly anime. Especially in the battles when instead of being killed, they turned into cat heads. I quickly found that the story was really good to keep you watching and like a typical Harem, gave plenty of fan appreciation. A great anime for those looking for a breather from serious anime's that is enjoyable to watch! ...

I Love Everything About This Show
I fell in love with this show before the end of the first episode. It's so ridiculous in all the best ways and so mindlessly happy and fun to watch. I'm mostly just writing this review to give the show the 5 stars it deserves, so I'll end it here.

    i understand the negitivity
I can completely understand where people are coming from when they say the anime lacks and real plot line. but what it lacks in story it makes up in the extremely well crafted world they have created. never have I watched an anime they made me want to ditch my life entirely to go live there. this anime is by far my most favorite simply because of the wonderful character development and blending. ...

    Super Cute Anime! <3
Dog days is one of those seemingly rare anime's that doesn't take itself too seriously, and is just overly enjoyable to watch. While season 2 isn't as good as the first season (they try to juggle to many 'main characters') I would recommend Dog Days to anyone looking for a cute entertaining anime.

^.~ I just hope in the eventual season 3 they focus more on the relationship between Sink and ...

    Fan service done right
Dog Days’ is just in general a very enjoyable anime, no matter how you look at it. It has great action, a sense of adventure, enjoyable light-hearted romance, and tasteful ecchi (with beautiful girls). It pretty much has it all, but where it shines the most is its fantasy setting. Flonyard is as beautiful as ever, and sets up the perfect stage for one of the most pleasant anime you can hope to ...

    A feel-good anime series
I would have to say this is the one series that makes "war" look enjoyable and fun. In these wars the combatants do not die, they simply turn into little chibi fluff-balls of their species (cat, dog, etc). To top it off, most everyone is civil, polite, and enjoyable during the battles. So much so that all the battles are televised to the nations for all to watch.

This is series is very much a ...

    Cute, Fun, and Entertaining
This is one of those shows that is mostly aimed at a younger audience. I say mostly because there are a few scenes you wouldn't expect in a kids show state side. With that aside, there is a good dose of action that plays out fluidly and with a sense of fun and wounder. You don't get to learn too much about the world or the characters, and it does tend to lack a real story, but it still had me ...
