  • What a great premise...
But this anime fails on so many levels.

This anime has such a greatand creative premise, book loving man is killed and somehow turned into a dog, and only his favorite author can hear his thoughts. They go out and solve mysterie together in order to motivate the author to finish the last book in a series so the boy can move on with his life.

But it gives you a bait and switch, instead of a ...

  • only for the one who want to try new
Hmmm..for those who like comedy or jokes about flat chest,a otaku fetish, sadistic tsundare and a masochist,The plot is kinda simple but this time it involve Girls and a dogs, the dogs was incarnated from a boy name Kazuhito who is die and become a pet to the sadistic tsundare author Kirihime..
The art and character development are simple, the art for character design was an overall consider is ok ...

The description's a teeny bit misleading...
Not in that it lies about the plot of the show. Dog and Scissors is definitely about a book-loving young man who is so desperate to read the final volume of his favorite author's acclaimed series that upon being lethally shot he is able to reincarnate as a mini-daschund to continue reading - as said author's new pet. But don't go in expecting any dark, Dexter-type misadventures of a murderous ...

    A Strange yet Funny Anime
Dog & Scissors has a unique plot with amusing characters which show their love for books; reading and writing which I can very much relate to as I am a huge book-lover myself. The anime cleverly uses light humour to depict more serious acts of overcoming obstacles, such as loss, being able to stand back up again when things get hard, as well as others. The relationship between the two main ...

Insane in the best way possible
This anime is a roller coaster from start to finish. With borderline hints and suggestions of beastiality, that might immediately drive people away, but the sadist and masochist relationship going on between the two honestly make me laugh. The characters are very diverse, humor is very twisted most of the times, and that is what I honestly love.

I really don't recommend this anime though ...

It's like an absurd Japanese take on Scooby-Doo.......except that it is actually pretty good.
Ok. There are a lot of anime shows out there that basically have their own comedic niche. Then there are other shows out that are just absurd to be absurd. That's exactly where Dog & Scissors is at. With a genre blend of mystery, and comedy. This anime starts out with a dark plot, then eventually it somehow becomes an outlandish comedy. Even the description is weird. A book nerd (Kazuhito Harumi) ...

    Diamond In A Gold Mine
This is an anime to watch if you are a fan of the following: books, sadism, masochism, shining, dogs, and just flat-out comedy, because that is this show summarized. It was published by Aniplex, so what did you expect. I believe it is so good that I have rewatched this show so much that I have lost count! Anyway, I believe that the random moments of happiness in this show are the icing on the ...

  • Random, Cute, and Hilarious
I didn't expect much when I started this show but after the first couple of episodes I was hooked. The characters were amusing and I loved each of them. The plot was interesting and different. The Music and Animation were really good and didn't have any complaints. I would recommend this series for someone looking for a short cute and funny show to entertain them.

    Hilarious Nonsense!!
This story has a quite a dark underlining...seeing how the main character dies....But it also leaves the feeling of life moving on, starting anew. It was great to see such strong character connection and even though the story itself is highly unrelatable the elements that make it up are. (ex. the love of reading, wanting to write, overcoming a loss, etc.) These things are put into a very light ...

i added this one to my CR Q when i became a member but having to catch up on almost the entire shippuden series kinda took up almost all my CR time, i was able to finish the first 12 or 13 episodes of this one the other day, i really like the comedy in it,the dog is really funny, that and the author who's crazy, using scissors all the time,it's a great show if your into comedys or just need/want a ...
