Batshit insane, but in a good way
There is no way of getting around the fact this anime is absolutely mental, i mean completely barking mad, but if you go in knowing that you can have fun with it. The relationship dynamic between are two mains makes for a lot of funny slapstick moments, in fact there is a lot of adult-ish humour in this show, if anything it is at times very funny. Also, it the relationship between dog and ...

    When does the story start?
This was a series I REALLY wanted to like. The first episode was well put together, but after that it all fell apart. The characters felt like cardboard cutouts being pushed around. They would start a story line, or character development, and then just ignore it for the rest of the series without resolution. When I say that, I mean NO character or story got resolved at ANY point in the ...

Fun, but could have been more complete
This anime will give you some laughs and can make you forget about real world issues, at least for a little while. People looking for a deep plot might not like it, specially if they try to take it too seriously. It started like a somewhat serious anime, but it should be watched just to have some fun. It should have developed the characters and stories some more though.

Every dog has their day, except this one.
Enter, the main character, Harumi Kazuhito! He's a book loving student that can't have enough of a certain authors book, which is...
Enter, Natsuno Kirihime! Her books are so popular that bookstores can't keep them on the shelves! Speaking of which, this lady bought a dog she heard speaking.
Enter, the dog, Kazuhito! Wait, wasn't that the name of the student? What the heck happened here? What's ...

    “Seriously Entertaining!”
I would have thought that this particular anime should come with a warning, such as: “Fictional adult comedy, ‘Pet grooming must be handled by professional pet groomers only’”. Kidding aside, I think the theme of this anime must have been; “How to reach out to your special someone” ~ seriously now, I cannot help thinking, how unfortunate for a top notch novelist Kirihime Natsuno to be superseded ...

This anime has got to be my favourite anime of this type.
First of all let me just say what this type is. This type is the anime that don't really have a plot to follow; basically an anime that only has fillers. I hate fillers, which is why I prefer reading manga than anime. Anime just has way too much fillers. This anime has a broad plot, so it can accept a lot of ideas, but I find that there's one thing most of the episodes have in common. That is ...

    A war between writers
Love Maxi and Natsuno!! In the story, there are 3 famous writers and I think the third one appear way too much less than the other two. Having that said, Maxi doesn't seem to get enough scene either. At any case, that dog certainly has inspired me to read some books. After all, as Kagami put it, they are the food of the soul.

    Very funny but boring
There are funny events on the show. It has complete tools and well-defined characters to make a fantastic comedy anime, the problem here is the sequence of the story and where the tools should be.
By tools I mean jokes, things nonsense, and everything that makes comedy a comedy.

    Unexpected summer delight
Did not know what I was getting myself into when I started this series. The synopsis summarizes the first episode for the most part and the rest of the series is extreme caricatures. The episodes were weird and that held me on through to the season finale. Will definitely watch this again!

What was the point of this show?
I knew nothing about this series when it was posted, so I went into it with an open mind. I've seen plenty of anime with tsunderes, masochists, and weirdos, so I wasn't turned off by the characters. What turned me off is that after finishing all 12 episodes, NOTHING HAPPENED. The first two episodes were good, and I laughed several times at various things over the course of the show (the over ...
