  • Such promise thrown away
I loved this series for the first dozen episodes. Since then it has become as preachy as the old Baywatch television series of many years ago. Once Yushi acquires the Petit Hirozoikon things start to go downhill with ever increasing speed. Very disappointing. :-(

    A show of everyday difficulties
So this show borrows a lot of the plot from other yokai shows, but somehow it manages to sway of the paths of what must now be considered clichée and capture something that not many shows with a yokai element does: slice of life. This show does not have many action scenes, which surprised me. Instead, a whole episode can be focused around interpersonal relationships with difficult people or how ...

  • An anime that hints life lessons
Elegant Yokai Apartment Life is a really good story because it has conversational episodes where it teaches the viewer life choices and situations. It's really simple on paper, but if you're paying close attention to the story, it's very zen and inspirational; it teaches about karma, life choices, psychological reasonings, and much more to it. All in all, it's funny, quirky, and nice to watch.

  • Entertaining and Insightful
This show has amazing hidden depth. It starts in a general entertaining way, pleasant and optimist in tone. As it progresses, the young protagonist encounters "difficult people"; his Yokai apartment friend provide keen insight as to the sort of things that trouble others, and how to interact with other people in a positive and emotionally intelligent way. In between the "lessons", there's much ...

    slow burn bad 2 season
while i really liked the first season of this show. it was a show about the main character growing up and seeing the world from the other person side. it was about him growing into a adult and seeing the world as it is not how he wanted it to be. it was about family and the hardships others experience. then we got to the next season they made a side character a main one added a magic book campy ...

    Boring despite cute characters
At first glance, this seems like a low-key, enjoyable anime about yokai. After several episodes, despite some humor and cute characters, it reveals itself to be rather boring. In addition, characters don't really react realistically to the situation which will take you out of the experience.

  • Makes you think while being fun
I really love this anime. It touches alot of relevant feelings a person might come across in their daily lives. i feel like the older characters are like parents giving sage advice to you. Many people go through life and experience many emotions, but we never really think of why we feel that and how we can reconcile with those feelings. whether it be about death and how we cope with it or how you ...

  • SUPER chill fun anime!
    Pros
Great loveable characters, the most chilled anime I can think off currently, nice music (desperatly waiting for the soundtrack to come out!!!), I specially love the relationships between the characters, and when the show wants you to hate a certain character, it does it flawlessly! Also even if characters don't talk you can love em, theres a couple in the show that never talk and I think ...
