    Adventure on a Dead Earth
I was introduced to this show in high school when it aired on G4 Tech TV's anime segment. I have watched it several times since then and it still holds up years later.

Ergo Proxy starts off as a show about trouble in paradise. The City of Romdo is one of the last bastions of humanity on an Earth that has long since perished. Citizens play by the rules or are banished to the wastes. Nothing ever ...

    Thought Provoking Anime
I was just skipping through Crunchyroll and came up on this gem. What an amazing ride this was. Thought provoking, compelling, complex characters and the ending was pure gold. It started off slow but the action gradually picks up and then you just crave for more. I highly recommend this anime for all.

    Classic science fiction
This is a great show, visually compelling and thought-provoking and filled with beautiful character design and development. The series is still bleeding-edge on many levels. It's one of those shows that need to be watched twice, though, as clues are cryptic and not fully summed up at any particular point. On second viewing, what can seem to be intentional obscurities make sense and lay the ...

Knowing nothing is important! The Hidden Gem of Ergo Proxy
It has now been around three years since I watched Ergo Proxy and it is still one of very few series that have been able to remain in my conscious memory.

Being a first time watcher of the series, the watcher will be left with many questions about the world and plot of the series. But as the viewer's mind starts to slowly grasp Ergo Proxy story arc, he/she will find themselves becoming ...

    Artistic Psychological Thriller
If one were to describe art as a medium for messages about society, the human condition, or philosophy in general, then I would consider this anime as one of the best to represent that kind of art.

Despite the anime's clearly dark and almost textbook "edgy" theme, it actually inspired positive and realistic thoughts/feelings, and gave me many reasons to pause for thought. The comedic relief ...

    Yummy Yummy Yummy Yummy
    Art: Great
    Direction: Great
    Music: love the opening
Characters: interesting - especially the females and the kids
Writing: Very subtle, releastic, intriguing while not being too hard to follow

This anime has social commentary as well as deep thoughts on what it means to be human. It's art and it's a step above most other shows you will watch, which are mostly entertainment.

  • Beautiful art, cool fight scenes overall great mystery
I don't ever write reviews only if the series really hits me hard.. this one did. You definitely are going to wanna watch it again some other time because it's so philosophical that it can get confusing at times. But the art is so damn good and the story/plot around it is interesting. You aren't going to get amazing fight scenes like dragon ball super, naruto, or one piece. But overall I'd give ...

  • One Of The Best Animes, Nay, TV Shows Ever Made - An Absolute Classic
A superb anime, cerebral, brooding, and subtle, yet bold brash, and explosive at times. It is just about as complete as you would ever hope to see in multiple generations. Heed no nay-sayers - rest assured this is a masterpiece that will stand the test of time for many decades, if not centuries.

The animation is a first-rate marriage between clean CGI and impeccable hand-drawn artistry, ...

  • A dark psychological masterpiece
This is by far one of the best animes ever made.
The story is like a puzzle you have to solve chapter by chapter. I've watched it at least once a year since it was released, and every time I discover something new, or give some scenes a different interpretation. Its dark-waveish soundtrack creates the perfect atmosphere for this post-apocalyptic show. The animation is not flawless, its quality ...
