Eyeshield 21 is a great anime and manga! It has not only has amazing cool dudes but it also has a great story. It is exciting and I get excited even when re-watching it! Hehe
I'm not really much into sports other than swimming but when I started watching this anime, I really got into it. Though here in our country, we don't really have AmeFuto and since I'm also a girl, I can't play.

Eyeshield 21 is a great anime and manga! It has not only has amazing cool dudes but it also has a great story. It is exciting and I get excited even when re-watching it! Hehe

Now, I'm even watcing sporty stuffs like POT. I was also interested in it because even if it has those superhuman dash Sena has or students like Hiruma having all sorts of guns, it also has some reality in it. Sometimes, one loses and one wins.
So, if you're a sporty little gal or guy, watch Eyeshield 21! xDD

Best Sports Anime Yet!

Eyeshield 21 keeps you entertained all 145 episodes! At first, I was hesitant to watch this but after the first episode, it just keeps drawing me back! I finished at least 50 episodes within less than a week! It's not only thrilling,keeping you on the edge for more, but it's also very comical!

Absolutely LOVE Eyeshield 21.

A surprisingly good anime with comedy and character.

This anime really surprised me, I never thought I'd enjoy a sports themed anime, let alone enjoy it to the degree that I enjoyed Eyeshield 21. The character are well thought out and really relatable, you find yourself cheering for them to win and it hits you when they fail. The story can be a bit linear and predictable at times, but it never gets stagnant, there are more than enough twists and ...

This anime really surprised me, I never thought I'd enjoy a sports themed anime, let alone enjoy it to the degree that I enjoyed Eyeshield 21. The character are well thought out and really relatable, you find yourself cheering for them to win and it hits you when they fail. The story can be a bit linear and predictable at times, but it never gets stagnant, there are more than enough twists and turns to keep things interesting. The comedy is interlaced in the story lines perfectly and sometimes it had me hunched over, holding my gut laughing my head off. The music was pretty good, though it could have been better. The animation quality is very high, while they did sometimes reuse scenes, they did it tastefully.

I highly recommend this anime.

Hiruma, the Devilish Captain

Love the character Hiruma... what can I say... he's wickedly funny.... A lot of cool characters too.....

A good captain is one who can motivate his/her team to excell... to push beyond their limits... to keep up the team's morale even in the face of defeat.

Losing does not mean an end... but a start to be better. This is what the series based (most likely) its theme.... does not matter ...

Eyeshield 21, all around AWESOME!

Eyeshield 21 is by far the only sport anime that i will rate this high!

*SPOILER* i love the whole weak to strong (in self-esteem in this case) story line with Sena! how a boy treated like a gopher could become this Eyeshield 21 that is a role model and major asset to the story. I enjoy just seeing how much Sena grows to believe in himself through the anime/manga, it's almost like watching a ...

Eyeshield 21 is by far the only sport anime that i will rate this high!

*SPOILER* i love the whole weak to strong (in self-esteem in this case) story line with Sena! how a boy treated like a gopher could become this Eyeshield 21 that is a role model and major asset to the story. I enjoy just seeing how much Sena grows to believe in himself through the anime/manga, it's almost like watching a movie like "The Blind Side" and smiling, saying "look how far he traveled to this moment." Now no one should ever forget Hiruma, the "devil" of this show. I was disappointed that we didn't learn the whole story of this brutal leader, but we do know how well he put the Deimon Devil Bats together and how he was one of the people to help Sena believe in himself more and more along the way. with the music, background sucked... but the Openings and Endings were inspiring with the show. i really enjoy opening 4, Blaze Line, sung by Back-On (artist can be found on itunes). this song is a great example of inspiring with the show. the line (in English)

Eyeshield 21 is an awesome show,my favourite character is Eyesheid 21/Sena and Hiruma.It teaches a good leason is what I think,because Sena and his teamates are improving in every game they play and sometimes when they lose they don't give up and keep playing and you will feel so glad you watched Eyesheild 21 when the show is over.It has alot of funny moments,the funniest ones for me is whatever ...

This is a very enjoyable anime until the end. Fun to watch, easy to get addicted, without any major shortcoming.
So, I will be focusing in the negative aspects.
The storyline lacks something, and I don't mean that it not follows the manga until the end. The line between fiction and fantasy is crossed too often, specially at the end of the anime. It gets its share of filler sagas, too. And some ...

This is a very enjoyable anime until the end. Fun to watch, easy to get addicted, without any major shortcoming.
So, I will be focusing in the negative aspects.
The storyline lacks something, and I don't mean that it not follows the manga until the end. The line between fiction and fantasy is crossed too often, specially at the end of the anime. It gets its share of filler sagas, too. And some characters are left behind in terms of background. Some jokes are reused too much, too.
Music is mostly good, including openings, endings and themes.
Characters has a lot of charisma, but some of them are a bit underdeveloped. And there are some really filler characters that although belonging to the team since the first episodes appear only in a few of them until the end. Even if they are assumed to play every match.
The animation is rather standard.
In the end, this anime gets the last half-star because of the fun-factor.
