I guarantee this anime promises victory
Have you ever felt losing fate on a certain genre? Like every work out there focuses either on pop crap or things that only a child with the age of eight could like? Well this anime is not one of them. This anime reminded me why anime is still worth defending even with all the fillers and worthless crap some people do to ruin the good name of anime.

I am a fan of the Fate's Visual Novels but ...

For those that have played the visual novel, this is a breath taker
First of all, Fate Zero is the prequel for an epic visual novel (later turned anime) called "Fate/Stay Night." The visual novel is truly outstanding, and I highly recommend getting it (requires Japanese game plus English/other language game patch). The visual novel (VN for short) was deep, dark, and moving. It was complex. It was extremely well done.

To my absolute delight, Fate Zero lived ...

  • Bwalalalala . Iskandar!
I have to say this anime took me by surprise. The animation was top notch, the soundtrack was awe inspiring (watch this on a surround setup, you won't regret it) and the story was amazing. Like many here I cried, I laughed, I jumped out of my seat. The story isn't afraid to be violent when it needs to be cruel but never unnecessarily. It was so good I had no idea it was a prequel. I felt it was a ...

Slightly Overrated But Not to be Missed!
Definitely one of the best animes out there and one of the best I've seen in awhile! However, it isn't without its shortcomings! I love a good story, and in order for the story to be driven, there must be talking between characters. However, Fate Zero kind of overkills the talking in some of the episodes. The first one is a notable example. But, onto my rating!

    Story (8/10)

  • Easily the best anime i have watched yet !!!!
A must see for everyone. I am never concerned with writing reviews but the sheer magnitude of this anime is much deserving. the characters are constructed to perfection, and the visuals have yet to be beaten.

Dark, gloomy, and unforgiving—exactly what completes Fate Zero.
Don't let the cover fool you! This isn't your happy-go-lucky anime. It's unforgiving and mercilessly true to the reality of consequences of an action. Gin Urobuchi understand very well what Fate Zero's characters are facing—a life or death scenario. Unlike Puella Magi Madoka Magica, the suffering of the characters are brought upon by their own actions rather than what the writer has created. ...

  • Best Fate adaptation to date
Personally, I've always loved the "Unlimited Blade Works" scenario in the Fate story as the best. However, this anime has everything that makes not just a great anime, but also an amazing story.
Other than the stunning visuals, amazing presentation, breathtaking choreography and set pieces, and deep and emotional plot, the best part about this series are the characters. The heroic spirits, in ...

  • A prequel that trumps the original.
I liked Fate/Stay Night I really did but I found it missing something. I couldn't really pinpoint exactly what it was until I watched it's prequel Fate/Zero. Fate Zero is full with such deep and memorable characters that you'll wish that holy grail never ended. The character aspect is what I found lacking in Fate/Stay Night. In Fate/Zero, however, the human element is it's greatest achievement. ...

    Fate/Zero is fantastic
Fate/Zero is a prequel to Fate/Stay Night which takes place 10 years before the events of F/SN. To be honest I didn't like F/SN all that much but to my surprise, F/Z hooked me like few animes have.

Fate/Zero mainly follows Kiritsugu Emiya and Saber, but it also focuses on the other characters and gives them enough screen time for you to grow to know all of their motivations and even sympathize ...

An absolute masterpiece! Arguably the greatest anime series of the decade!
Based on the lite novel written by renowned Japanese novelist and screenplay writer Gen Urobuchi (Madoka Magica), Fate/Zero serves as the prequel to Type-Moon's immensely popular visual novel Fate/stay night. Featuring an ensemble cast of assassins, mages, and heroes of legend, Fate/Zero tells the story about a war between seven powerful mages who summon warriors of the past to fight each other to ...
