Piece of Art worthy of Attention
I don't think I have ever seen anything quite like Fate/Zero before. For one thing, the level of maturity in this show is, as far as my knowledge goes, unprecedented so far. This show was meant to appeal to a mature, adult audience. The story was written by Gen Urobuchi, who I hold in very high regard, with him writing things like Psycho Pass and Madoka Magica. However, Fate/Zero tops them in my ...

  • Fate Zero: Cant Wait for Fate Night!
It really was slow getting into this anime. But in my defense, I'd never heard of or seen or read anything concerning the Fate story lines.

Definitely a tad bit slow to start, but I think it was necessary to get the viewer acclimated with the feel, story, and the world of fate. Once I was in the further episodes, I couldn't stop watching. I did feel that some characters where poorly ...

  • Ufotable: pushing the boundaries of animation
This show is just incredible. The visuals are nothing short of stunning, and Ufotable is constantly pushing the boundaries of animation. The plot is excellent with compelling characters, the only thing that falls flat is the unusual direction the series takes between the last and second to last episode. However, this unusual turn was necessary to tie it in to Fate/Stay/Night, the remake of ...

    One Epic Masterpiece
This show is a well written masterpiece that shows the story of the holy grail war, seven mages and their servants fight each other to the death, it is dark, epic, enthralling, mature, and has no fan service. The characters have different motives and methods to win the war, making this a clash of ideology that makes a person think. Also, the servants are legendary spirits such as King Arthur and ...

    A Mind-Blowing Masterpiece
I stumbled into this series expecting gorgeous animation with a decent story to back it up.

    Boy was I wrong.

Fate/Zero is hands down the single most mature anime I've ever watched. No fan-service, no highschool... Just a heartwrenchingly beautiful story backed up by some truly amazing characters that you'll love... And some that you'll love to hate. Be warned, the story is not for the weak ...

  • Real depth of character
I general don't write reviews, however I'm making a exception in this case because of the impact Episodes 18 & 19 had and in an effort to contribute to a well deserved 5 star rating.

I believe that Kiritsugu's back story could have made an awesome standalone movie by itself. It's not often that you come across an anime that is prepared to dedicate so much time to in-depth character development ...

    an exceptional anime
This series is bold, clever, emotional, and lacking the cheesy nonsense and flat characters like it's "not to be named" other half. I mean, if this was not relevant to that show and this were it's own thing this could have been a perfect anime. But it is and the ending of this show is a victim to the common prequel syndrome. Leaving that aside this truly was an awesome experience that i recommend ...

  • People Die If Killed
Mature anime fan? Haven't watched this yet? Watch it now! The animation, the sound, the tone, the story, the characters, the interplay, and the action is all top notch. 99+ reviews and mine is no different, you really should give Fate Zero a try. Unlike Fate/ Stay Night, or other, various spin offs, Fate Zero doesn't require any former knowledge of TYPE MOON's excellent visual novel to enjoy.

  • Fate/zero .
Really, I think this deserves like a 4.5 out of five, but there isn't that option so I'm sticking with four as far as stars go.

Overall I liked the anime as a whole; you had the characters you knew were bad, the ones you knew where good (or mostly good,) and then you had the ones in between. The animation was beautifully done, the fight scenes well scripted and designed, and the background ...

  • Epic Fantasy in modern times
This is the kind of anime we're lucky to get maybe once a year (or less) one that is truly exciting to watch and gets you hooked on episode after episode. It has a very slow start- this is the first time I've seen an anime kick off with a 47 minute feature- it's mostly a huge data dump but it prepares you (if you can keep track of all the names and faces) for the battles ahead without needing to ...
