    Amazing. You must watch this.
Fate/Zero shows us events taking place 10 years before Fate/Stay Night, during the 4th Holy Grail war. Seven Masters and Servants fight for the right to have one wish granted by the Holy Grail.

Fate/Zero doesn't have any lead protagonist, as each of the Masters seeks to obtain the grail to support their own ideals. Each person comes to a greater understanding of what they want through their ...

    Stylish and thought-provoking
I wasn't expecting all that much going in, so my expectations were indeed surpassed. This is a more sophisticated combat-oriented seinen than your run-of-the-mill series. Not only are the art direction and music top-notch, but the main asset of Fate / zero is the gripping human drama. It really makes one think about good and evil, human desire, and the extremes one will go to for the sake of ...

    Simply Awesome Show!
I've watched a good number of anime before Fate Zero, but this anime is a masterpiece, melding philosophies, ideals, flawless character building, and heart-stopping action all into one. It has one of the deepest and most flavorful plots I had ever seen or had the privilege to experience. The dialogue between the characters is extremely thought-provoking and the battles resulting from the clashes ...

    Beautiful and Entertaining Anime
The animation quality is awesome on this show. This allows them to have great fight scenes. And I mean these fight scenes are AWESOME! The story is pretty compelling. I really enjoyed it while I was watching it. Its a little forgettable tho.

  • Such an awesome show!
Fate/Zero sets a quite different precedent than its predecessor (technically successor I suppose) Fate/Stay Night. Its somewhat more dark, less comedic, and all around more action packed. Its story paces fairly well and you get a good feel of the characters both through their actions and through their interactions with each other. I very much so liked the interplay between the servants in this ...

  • Servants and Masters
This show is a gem gifted from the anime gods! At first I thought it was boring but after the third episode it starts to pick up. I am now such a big Fate fan. The graphics and music is so much better than stay night. I highly recommend it!!

    Amazing. Words cannot describe.
A show I was hesitant to watch since I got the impression that fighting was a big part of the anime and how wrong I was. The story is well written and the characteres well defined. Definitely a must watch.

It's a great ride - Just don't pay attention to the details
    What an enjoyable show.

Every once in a while you come across a movie, or a book, or a TV show, that is just so over-the-top that you are, for varying reasons, able to just suspend disbelief and go "Okay, yeah, I totally believe that King Arthur is jousting on a motorcycle." or "Oh yeah, that's DEFINITELY the Hero-King Gilgamesh on a golden fighter-jet throne dogfighting an F-16." or "Oh yeah, ...

  • Loved it, great mix of magic and sword play.
The first series I started watching after joining the site, and man did I enjoy it. I've not see then original "Stay Night" series, but thankfully this was a prequel and didn't require seeing it. (Although a co-worker says I must.)

The first few episodes are a bit slow as you digest a lot of information but once things get rolling in the fourth episode I was always looking to start up the ...

  • A beautiful adaptation
Type-Moon's works (Kara no Kyoukai, Tsukihime, Fate Stay Night, Witch on a Holy Night) share an original, complex and highly-developed setting. Unfortunately, this setting is usually communicated by a metric ton of exposition during dialogue scenes: playing any of their games is getting really damn deep in magic circuits, Noble Phantasms, Mystic Eyes and other exotic terminology. The games are ...
