Don't Expect it to be like Fate/Zero people
I read alot of the manga. This is a moe comedy. Not ment to be a sereous Fate title. I hate how people are already giving it 3 stars cuz they are comparing it to the same thing. Please stop. If you are gonna compare it to anything, compare it to Carnival Phantasm. Watch this if you like magical girls, ecchi scenes, lolis and lots of moe. If you came to watch Fate/Zero, please leave and go educate ...

Strong entry to the "Cynical Parody of Magical Girls + Feels" catagory
The first thing you need to do to enjoy this is appreciate its nuance and be slightly pedophillic. Once you've read up on basic symbolism, metaphor, and structure, and can no longer be reasonably allowed near a middle school, you are ready to enjoy this anime.

The start was a bit weak and a bit strong. It's obvious watch bait, look at this kawaii-uguu-imouto-desunya, but really comes together ...

    Magical Girl's Night Out
Ah, the Magical Girl anime - a staple almost as old as anime itself. Following in the prestigious footsteps of Sailor Moon, Cardcaptors, Madoka, and Sally the Witch (among others), Fate/Kaleid Liner Prisma Illya stars Illyasviel von Einsbern and Miyu Edelfelt as Magical Girls tasked with tracking down powerful magical artifacts known as 'class cards' which are threatening the stability of the ...

What you would expect and more.
Gave the typical comedy, moe, & friendship theme you would expect from any other magi girl series. (Made the comedy and moe part so much better by degrading the more serious characters in the normal series). But also gave a suprising mix of well animated action scenes and kept it realistic (to a certain degree) and wasn't scared of showing blood; sticking true to the fate fighting quality. All in ...

This Show has some wicked scenes
I made the mistake of accidentally watching episode 8 first because it was posted on the front page and I got super confused lol but anyway if you don't watch Prisma Illya then your going to miss out on some of the best action scenes this summer! Also it's got a lot of funny parts in it too but it isn't just cute the whole way through. It has a serious side like Daybreak Illusion and Madoka Magica.

    My humble opinion...
I had only been watching anime for around a week when I discovered to fate series, which I immediately became a huge fan of, and as I dove deeper into its universe i found this. I was hoping for some connection to fate/stay night or fate/zero but that's not what I got, besides some reoccurring characters and references. So basically, if you are looking for more fate/stay night or fate/zero style ...

A fantastic, alternate universe Fate series
Going into this series, I expected a typical magical girl show, and the first few episodes adhere to that somewhat, with fan service and sparkles. However, this series is so much more then that. It lampoons the tropes of the magical girl genre fairly frequently. The amount of suspicion Ilya has towards the whole business is hilarious. It makes it clear fairly early on that being a magical girl ...

Fate/Kaleid Liner Prisma Illya is Amazing...
While there's definitely alot of Magical Girl taste in this, Fate Kaleid Liner Prisma Illya combines the card combat of Cardcaptor Sakura and includes the amount of combat found in Fate/Zero.. This is one of the most amazing anime I've ever watched....

A fun yet dark Magical Girl anime with lots of twists and VERY cool graphics
Don't be deterred. Give it a chance and this series WILL grow on you. It certainly isn't as dark and morbid as the other Fate series but it has it's moments. It fits in well with the universe in my opinion and broadens the audience and age range.

The first episode is kinda "meh"... though Illya is truly adorable. The two "adult" magical girls are annoying most of the time - especially Luvia - ...

Not fond of this genre, but still amazed.
I feel weird saying this, but I really like this anime. The magical girl theme never really appealed to me, but this anime presents it in a much more mature way than expected. Yes there's little girls, yes there's magical powers. But it's also linked up with an interesting story and great characters. One thing that really amazes my about this anime (at least in the second season) is the battle ...
