Cute, comedic, don't take it seriously.
Fate/kaleid liner shows us an alternate Fate universe where, by a series of events, Illya becomes a magical girl completely against her will. Commence shenanigans.

The show is pretty silly overall, but that's what it's going for. While it's not particularly great, the show is fun and has some awesome action sequences and hilarious comedy throughout the 12 episode run. Definitely not a title to ...

Fate/Kaleid Liner Prisma Illya is Amazing...
While there's definitely alot of Magical Girl taste in this, Fate Kaleid Liner Prisma Illya combines the card combat of Cardcaptor Sakura and includes the amount of combat found in Fate/Zero.. This is one of the most amazing anime I've ever watched....

Yeah, don't listen to the early reviews.
Don't pay attention to any of the early reviews. This show IS a serious fate/ show. At first it's kind of silly. But it gets srs bsns a few episodes in, and the most recent episode was omgwtfbbq parts dark, and most badass awesome scene I have ever seen. Watch it. Now.

    Your Fate? Remedial Magic!
"Attention, please! For those of you who have never before seen--or those old fans who require a refresher course in--the magical girl genre, please prepare yourselves!" At least, that is what I keep expecting to hear while watching this series, which indeed seems to embody the entire genre. This one show covers all the bases: magical cards; magical gems; magical spells; magical beings; magic ...

Definitely not a Mainstream Fate Title
Don't come in here expecting to see a Fate/zero or a Fate/stay night style show. A lot of people don't realize that a lot of type moon stories are actually in alternate realities. Fate/stay and Fate/zero are the only mainstream stories with anime adaptations. The rest are all alternate realities. This one happens to be a loli and it's not too bad.

Its cute and funny with an underling seriousness
I was a big fan of fate zero and this anime is related to it, however this anime is its own animal. U really cant compare it to fate zero because its really a different genera. Its a cute comedy anime with some occasional great action. Its a hybrid. ( a very good one ) and I would say the thing that sets it apart is the fact that the lives of the magical girls are often in very real danger of ...

    A intrepid adventure
At first you think this show will be about Illya's friends which you see from the previews. However, if you have not seen either series before the show may seem like a normal anime. Which in reference it might not be a good idea to watch either before you watch this one.

In comparison thus far the show is quiet good. I like Illya's character and that she's embarrassed to do the normal magic ...

Even as a non MG watcher, the show is pretty deep.
Personally, I haven't seen any of Fate/Zero. Illya is your common moe confused-protagonist who get's sucked into a different world to and almost forced to participate in the activities for Clocktower. Miyu, another commonly found character type, is an interesting combo for this series.

A fantastic, alternate universe Fate series
Going into this series, I expected a typical magical girl show, and the first few episodes adhere to that somewhat, with fan service and sparkles. However, this series is so much more then that. It lampoons the tropes of the magical girl genre fairly frequently. The amount of suspicion Ilya has towards the whole business is hilarious. It makes it clear fairly early on that being a magical girl ...

Magical girls and Fate/zero fight scenes?!?
Fate/kaleid liner PRISMA ILLYA is a show that I wasn't expecting to like all that much. A typical magical girl show that happens to be based in the fate/stay night universe. I was very very wrong. Being a fan of the original F/SN visual novel as well as the F/Z anime (lets face it F/SN anime sucked and "unlimited bladeworks" Wasn't too good either), I thought I would give this show the benefit ...
