A fantastic, alternate universe Fate series
Going into this series, I expected a typical magical girl show, and the first few episodes adhere to that somewhat, with fan service and sparkles. However, this series is so much more then that. It lampoons the tropes of the magical girl genre fairly frequently. The amount of suspicion Ilya has towards the whole business is hilarious. It makes it clear fairly early on that being a magical girl ...

    Wonderful twist of "Fate"
You do not need to have seen the others series' to watch this wonderfully cute and awesome Magical Girl show! Though as a huge Fate Universe fan myself, it only made the viewing experience all the better! A lot of people say "don't take this show seriously" but I would say that it is seriously fun and heart warming! I can't wait until season 2!

    Awesome anime, great to watch!
I haven't seen the original Fate series that this is a spin off from, but this series has been awesome so far! Although I think the use of elementary school characters is a bit weird, I still think this is a great anime. I'll be watching the original Fate series soon!

    This isn't Fate/Zero, Fate/Stay Night
Don't disappoint yourself in thinking its a serious spin off of the fate series.
This is a magical girl stand alone. With pretty much the only similarities being the cards.
If you're into moe, ecchi, magical girl comedies, you've come to the right place. It has all the qualities you're looking for.
If not, you might just want to move along.

For those of you complaining. Clearly. the fate ...

One episode in and want more!
Other than the Fate name and the magical girl theme, I came in to this not knowing much about it (didn't watch any PV). I watched Fate/Zero, so I expected this to be something more like a Madoka type of magical girl anime (serious and such). I was surprised by it being lighthearted, and yet still not a magical girl show for younger audiences. Love the way the characters reacted to everything, and ...

  • it has it's moments. .
i think it was nice. and more so, after i got past looking for it to be like Fate/ stay.
then i took it for what it was, a slice of life / magical girls anime.
and i found it to be good and funny, as well as touching. .at times.
not really my type, but it hooked me. odd ending ???

  • interesting at first then it goes down hill
I was fairly interested at first, but then this turns into a loli on loli thing as i progressed so I stopped after the first episode of season 2 and haven't watched since then. I mean it probably gets better after that, but I grew uninterested in it.

  • Relax, the cops already know
This show has lots of lolis. Very good lolis. The best lolis, even. It's also surprisingly engaging, considering the entire appeal is a potent yuri factor - especially more so once Kuro is introduced (if you deny this you are a fervent liar). Regardless, all three main heroines are different and likeable in their own right.

Also the fact that they literally named the dark-skinned girl "black" ...

  • it'll grow on you, i enjoyed it
An interesting take on the Fate Series, I need to finish Fate Zero but have watched Fate / Stay Night and awaiting the other Fate series to come out on streaming service, but i do like seeing a different take in the same universe of the rest although it may not occur in the same time line of events.
