    ReGenesis aka season 2
Fist of the Blue Sky (aka Soten no Ken) details the exploits of Yan Wang (Kasumi Kenshiro) as the 62nd successor to the ultimate assassin's martial arts form Fist of the North Star (Hokuto Shinkin), in pre-war 1930's Shanghai at the height of fierce in-fighting by various factions all rife with corruption, vying for control of a lawless and dangerous city.

FotBS ReGenesis is actually a sequel ...

Unwatchable for me as the framerate gives me a headache
I could only stand to watch a few minutes of this, unfortunately. This is the first anime where I've been physically unable to make it through the first episode.

The quality of the animation is about PS2 CGI... which is, ok.

However, it is animated at _maybe_ 10 FPS? It ends up being extremely, unbelievably choppy and all the close-up scenes made me ill.

If this was a proper 24 FPS... ...

    Disappointing PS2 CGI
I love the series and have read the manga fully. The anime here takes the plot of a few hundred chapters of manga and dashes it across a small amount of anime episodes in the attempts to pick up from from where the anime previously left off a few years ago. This turned out pretty bad along with the terrible animations and how visually choppy it is rendered at. In my opinion it would have been ...

Not worth even trying to give it a chance.
This is the first anime I couldn't stand watching. The animation is god awful. From the frame rate to the quality of the CGI used its just the worst I have seen yet. The story isn't good enough to salvage the show either. There are a couple reviews that are trying really hard to fan boy this show. And if you TRULY like it then you are a gluten for punishment that is the only thing i can think of ...

Could have been worse, but should've been better.
So I've been a fan of this studio's work before. Aijin, Knights of Sidonia and Blame! were some of my favourite anime, so seeing that Polygon Pictures was going to work on this gave me some hope. I mean, they are probably one of the few folks that can make CG anime look good. Unfortunately that doesn't seem to be the case here. Animation is a lot better than the Berserk 2016 anime, and the ...

The first episode is too boring to finish.
I couldn't make it through the first episode. Yes, the CGI is subpar, but I can overlook that. I also don't think that CGI automatically makes an anime bad.

The show is boring. An insanely giant man who's too cool for school kills some gangsters in what should normally be a Keanu Reeves "Woah!" moment for me, and I was bored.

Maybe, I have just seen this type of slow-moving, giant boulder ...

  • Fist of the crybaby’s
Why have I watched 8 episodes of this series? I hope it gets better. The story is awful. Thee unnatural proportions for men & woman is insulting. Why does kenshiro smoke in almost every scene? The Lore & History is at least interesting. More fighting.... I’ve never seen so many martial artist cry in an anime before...

    Two frames a second!?
CG shows need to get better, the fact they don't look as good needs to be supported by the amount of animation done. Such as longer more intricate fight scenes but it just doesn't happen and no matter how more detailed of a character model can be made with
CG if the animation isn't there then why bother.
But the most frustrating thing with this show in particular is frames per second it is ...

tried too hard and bad quality
The plot seems like it will be amazing but i feel they tried to hard with CGI. When watching this makes me feel motion sick from the blurring motion. In my opinion i believe that CGI needs a huge overhaul to make it more presentable.
P.S I have huge hopes for CGI in the future

    Thanks for the attempt.
I'm happy to see a new Fist of the North Star title but the execution is where this anime falls flat. The computer used to develop and render the anime must not have been up to par and it shows with bad frame rates in peaceful moments and even worse frames during action scenes. Then I got to the faces for the chinese and germans O.O wow.
