    dont be quick to judge
I found myself going wtf at the artwork but the story was nice for a day marathon - not sure if I would have kept up on it if I watched weekly. Story doesnt seem to have ended by the last episode. Foreshadowing teasers. 4/5

    Intense, compelling, and artistic
I didn't quite know what to expect going into the show; rotoscoping has always been really hit or miss in animation (Ralph Bakshi on Line One), but in this case, I think it was the right choice given the subject matter. The awkwardness and heightened drama in the script really popped because of the naturalistic acting and realistic look, foregoing the usual "too pretty for real life" character ...

Amazing! A Masterpiece that has become one of my all-time favorites!
I had absolutely no expectations going into this one. I hadn't read, or even heard of the manga. The title and posters were intruiging as well as the quick plot synopsis. After the first episode I had to see where it was going. After the second episode I was hooked. I love the animation; the style fits perfecly with the mood the creators were trying to set. The music and pacing were spot on as ...

This is a rotoscoped drama. The story is very psychological.
If you are expecting giant robots, fancy boys wearing gloves, or swords that turn into big breasted females or something, this show lacks that.

It is actors that has been rotoscoped/drawn over. I like it. I want to make something like this someday.

Incredible story that is very deep. A bit too much teenage angst for me at times as I am too old for this, but otherwise it is very ...

The title of the show explains everything
I first read the manga before to watch the anime, but there was a part where I couldn't take it anymore, so I stopped my reading. When I saw the anime is released on Chrunchyroll, I thought that maybe it's better so I watched it. The graphic is original. The characters' expression a bit ok. It's similar to the manga so I skipped some eps, but I've noticed that the anime is slower. They put longer ...

    Original and intense
This one falls on both sides of the line between art and entertainment. A lot of people seem to be sensitive to its dark subject matter and style, though I can't say I relate at all. If you want to see a deeply original and mind-bending specimen of animation, be sure to put it in your queue.

    Very appealing to the mind
The rotoscope in this anime is amazing! The feel of this anime has such depth. The music is absolutely incredible and fitting, along with the ability to feel every single emotion that goes through the MC. Everything about this anime is interesting and appealing, a definite must see if you want something that goes against the norm and peeks that part of your brain you rarely use. It is very easy to ...

    Sir_Jamesalot's seal of approval.
This show is incomplete but still very good.

I thought the visual art was refreshing and the music was insane.
Every episode is loaded with suspense, for a couple of episodes the tension got to the point where I needed to force myself to watch it.

By far one of the most memorable animes I have seen in a long time

    This is freaking epic!! 10/10
I was just expecting to watch a new kind of animation!
The drama and the suspense was sometimes too much for me, that when the ED song came up sometimes i jumped from my chair.
The manga is really nice as well and has a twist really interesting, if you like Drama and Psyco stuff this is one of those animes you will want to watch!

The darkness within - an exploration of our evil self.
Before watching the series, I had never heard of this anime, or the manga for any purposes. I jumped into the first episode with no expectations whatsoever, and the first thing that shocked me was the rotoscoped execution (movie cells painted over). In the beginning, it was slightly weird and annoying. That sensation lasted maybe ten minutes - enough to scare some people away, possibly.

    After ...
