Rhetorical questions, but thank you all the same for telling people out of the loop.

And yes, your final statement echoes my sentiments of just go with the flow. lol

Yeah, and we all know doing ACTUAL tricks with a stupid toy TOTALLY makes someone less of a dork.

Iunno, referencing is thought to funny, especially if both absurd in attempted linkage and easily recognized by many people? I figured that is why children's movies like Shark Tale or Food Fight attempted to do, since references can be used as a point of reference to to point absurdity of the actual similarities or the stretch of the attempted linking itself, which seems foolish.

I work at a gas station and I saw this lady spend like 30 on some spinners and in my head I was repeat my gas station mantra "Do not judge that of which you do not know" or something wise sounding like that cause sometimes I gotta be serious its real difficult NOT to judge people. 30 dollars (each spinner was 10 bucks)

To answer the question I think most people are just jumping on the bandwagon everyone is doing it so they might as well try. Im pretty sure it was originally made for those with ADHD and ADD and now its has been thrown on the inferno and is He11a hot...(see what I did there)

They are basically half of a hand-held gyroscope.

I genuinely really like fidget spinners, as a person that fiddles with anything they can get their hands on, it's really nice.

I'm not arguing anything against that, I'm just saying that yo-yo's actually had merit as a toy as opposed to fidget spinners. I mean, the only thing you do with the latter is spin them and hold them on a finger, arm, shoe, or something of... the... sort...

OH GOD, FIDGET SPINNERS ARE HACKEY SACKS OF MODERN AGE
