Hii . So last week I started up my own blog.

https://www.thesweetlifeofanime.com

I had been thinking about doing this for awhile now and I finally managed to pick up the courage and actually make it happen. I post all sorts of things ranging from reviews to news and helpful guides regarding anything about the japanese pop culture. I have several ideas in my head that I want to try out with my blog and since I really like baking I will probably post some recipes on my blog in the future that I saw in an anime or an original idea that I came up with. I'd like to keep the blog updated every two days at least.

I'm open for criticism and if you have any tips or tricks to make it a succes I'm glad to hear it. Other than that I would actually like to start my own youtube channel but I'm not really sure yet on which video editting software is the best (and not too expensive) and what the videos could be about besides blog posts in video form.

My social media accounts are at the bottom of the page on my website, I'd appreciate it if you would give it a like.

Thank you in advance

perhaps this can help, I do a blog myself and tend to be random in mine, but since you're gearing it towards just one set topic, it could be a bit complicated to update. so, why not run with pictures, discussing anime, manga, live action movies, and try to keep it where you give ideas and opinions but no so much as spoilers. a lot of people really don't like those, or have it stated that it's going to have a spoiler, so people are aware of what's coming so they can simply skip over that part and what not. some other ideas, post some knowledge of Japan, such as festivals, foods, and the "dark secrets" of things such as lip sync, facts about taboo of idols can't date. keep it creative and have fun with it, don't be afraid, if people don't like it, that's their problem they can go somewhere else, this is your place, it's your enjoyment, something you do in your spare time and the likes.

best of luck and don't let bad comments or bad interactions with people ruin your fun. trust me you are going to find those I'm afraid, or rather they are going to find you, just ignore them. in some cases you can block people who are disrespectful with blogs. on my blog only members can post, so you can adjust settings as well, not quite certain. but tweak it to safety or however you wish to do so. with horrors when someone replies to my blog it tracks IP numbers, so, without a doubt you know who's being cruel to you.

What niotabunny said, and I liked your article on voice acting and i hadn't heard of some of things you mentioned in your learning Japanese piece.

Thank you both! I've taken up your advice niotabunny about posting more knowledge about Japan hence why I made the article about voice acting. Really glad that it is being read!

I'll keep thinking of articles to come up with since it is basically a 'on the fly' thing. I just write whatever I feel like it regarding the Japanese pop culture and about anime and manga of course. If I'm lazy I'll just post anime news which is easy to fix but I do want quality content of course.

I have trouble coming up with topics as well. I have noticed that you are posting very frequently, several times a week. While this is good, you might be posting a bit to often, and it shortens the amount of time you have to think of and write new posts. I typically do one post a week, and only recently moved to two posts a week, now that I have some extra time.

Hmm.. I'm having a general problem right here and it is basically about driving traffic back to my blog. It was doing great for awhile since I was promoting on my facebook page but I gradually see it going down since I don't promote my posts as much on facebook right now. Throwing money at advertising has its limits.

I'd love for people to come back to my blog for the content. I like your tip of posting less AnimeScience. It is also because my blog is less than a month old of course so I wanted to put up a bit of content beforehand really.

I do get a tiny bit of traffic from twitter as well but I'd also like to grow my following on my social media pages.

Mini update! My blog is not called 'The Sweet Life of Anime' for no reason so I made my very first baking tutorial on how to make Soul Eater cupcakes.

Just in time for halloween as well. I really liked making them for my blog.
