Hi

I'm looking for a new series I can watch that is in the horror genre that stands out to you.

Two that come to mind is Blood+ and Death Note

I'm not looking for exact knockoffs of either series but for the feel the anime gave me - the creeps, horror, supernatural drama, etc.

Hopefully It's here on CR but is there anything that comes to mind, whether brand new or 10+ year old?

Thanks for any input!

Just going off of what MAL has tagged as horror, in addition to those listed above, I'd recommend:
Higurashi
Gakkou no Kaidan
Shiki
Parasyte and/or Tokyo Ghoul (I guess you could consider these "body horror")
Ghost Hunt
Monster (more psychological than horror)
Ajin
Rin: Daughters of Mnemosyne
Dusk Maiden of Amnesia (this one is kinda like horror/school romance/comedy)
Hellsing (assuming vampires make things fall into the "horror" genre)

Also, here on Crunchyroll is a show called Gakkougurashi! (which I think they have listed as School-Live!), which is a pretty cool spin on several of these genres (largely based off the dichotomy between the art style and the general topics/plot).

Good luck finding something that you like.

Most of these are on CR...

Kagewani (already mentioned)
Another
Mushi-shi (season 2 is here on CR. season 1 is on Funimation and also on their Youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=ELMvwzjNR4c5A)
Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica
Mononoke
Aku no Hana (creepy psychological drama)
Attack on Titan (i suppose this would be considered science fiction. has its horrific moments.)
Mob Psycho 100 (more of a supernatural action/comedy. you might like it though.)
Claymore (violent dark fantasy. on Funimation.)
Jigoku Shoujo (not sure where to find the earlier seasons streaming)
