Since we have a post for the WORST manga art, why don't I start a post for the BEST manga art? Post some of the best series and artists you know and people may not know with the best art that you've ever seen!

I'll go on a limb and say the artist behind the the the manga "Nande Koko ni Sensei ga!?" is extremely talented. A very ecchi manga, but man, what an artist. Just a new manga that recently got a weekly series. The artist behind "World End Harem" is pretty good too.

I'm rather partial to people who can draw characters very well.

Jun Mochizuki needs more love.
Mangaka of Pandora Hearts and their newer work Vanitas no Carte / The Case Study of Vanitas.
I love seeing her artwork improve so much over the years to how polished and detailed it is now.

As for artists that aren't mangakas, I have so many that I'll leave the blocks of text out of this, but I'll highlight 3.

I'm very fond of artists with distinct styles and are really good at character designing.

I'll just go with the obvious choice in Vagabond. That art is absolutely stunning.

Ran to Haiiro no Sekai. I have plenty of favorites but this series always pops into my head as one of the greats when it comes to art. (The manga itself is pretty good as well)

Vinland Saga, Bride's Story and Here is Greenwood are some of my favourites for art (Here is Greenwood mostly for the nostalgia and use of lines for most shading instead of screentone). I think Takeshi Obata is one of my favourite manga artists though. He drew Hikaru No Go, Bakuman, and Deathnote ... the styles are all a little different but he ads some amazing detail and realism to his work.

Tsugumomo, for all of it's perversions (and there are ALOT of them), includes some of my favorite action scenes in manga. And the author's color pages are really well done done as well.

The pics are pretty small. He has a youtube channel where he puts up his drawing videos and livestreams every now and then. You can check it out here:

While the character models are not great in either, the underwater background art in both IO and Umi no Misaki is tremendous.

Blade of the Immortal by Hiroaki Samura and Planetes by Makoto Yukimura have absolutely breath-taking art. They're fabulous seinen manga serials as well.
